Here's the news, kids! Enjoy!
5/13/99Well, the May 8th Ripped Heart show was really good. All the bands were really great, except for us. :-) We screwed up a lot. Oh well.

5/7/99
Some quick news for the show tomorrow...Sean had to cancel so Matt from the kind of guys is filling in (thanx Matt!). We'll only be playing for 10 minutes but it's better than not playing at all...Also, the demo mixing process is having some problems so we have a new plan. We will not be releasing a demo CD, instead we'll put out a tape with the songs we did in the studio and a few more we'll record maybe through Ripped Heart. We're still hoping that it can be out for our May 29th show, but probably not...
4/23/99 I just remembered...we're in a zine from MI called "Lynch, the Landlord"
...check back in a few days on the Zines page for info...
4/20/99I'm slowly fixing up the page...we have some shows in the works for May and June, right now the most likely one will be May 29th near Detroit. The CD's are still not done, as soon as they are we will be getting everything ready and let you know then...check back later...
3/24/99Well, the recording took 15 hours due to computer problems, but we got 7 songs recorded. They are being mastered or mixed or whatever right now, and the demo should be out in late May/April. It will be called "Long Live the King" and we will probably sell them for 5$ or so. The cover design is shown on the main page.
Our show in Clare went well, Keith put it on and he is a cool guy. No shows are lined up for the next month because Sean got a bad grade on his report card so he can't do any shows for a little while. He probably doesn't want me to put that on here. Oh well. Don't beat me up Sean!
Anyway, I've tried to put some pics up but the scanner screwed up. In time, a long time, I will make the page better. But for now, you'll just have to wait...
3/01/99It's been a long time since I've updated, a lot of stuff has happened. I guess the biggest thing is that next weekend we're going to Grand Rapids to record a demo. If it turns out all right well be able to burn our own CD's or make tapes or whatever, maybe even 7 inches. We also have a show in Clare on March 20th. I changed the page a whole lot too and I'm still working on it, so check back later...
1/8/99Well, after about 4 days at Dans house over the break we have a new guitarist! His name is Sean, he's metal. But we make him play punk. It's cool though...we scraped a bunch of songs, kept some good ones, learned new ones and so now we have about a 30 minute set. Ian will be singing...we're still thinking about a demo...we're also hoping to get on the Boxing Shovel comp...see ya
12/07/98Well, this is kind of a sink or swim time for us right now. I think we were just kinda' floating. Anyway, we're thinking of changing the band a little, We might get a friend of Dans to play guitar and move Ian to full time vocals. If this all works out (we'll be praying about it) then we'll continue and see if we can't get more shows and work on that demo. If it doesn't work out it might be the end...maybe not though, we'll see...so check back after Christmas and you'll see what happens.
10/29/98Ok, here's some news: we tried to get some shirts but it didn't work but we might later...we might play in Green Bay...we might record a demo soon (in the next 2/3 weeks)...we're in a zine from Windsor that's coming out soon...that's all...
9/24/98We played our second show at Olde Jamestowne Hall last Saturday and it went pretty good. We opened so it wasn't packed or anything but we had fun. We didn't mess up either. Pics have been added to the page. Union Dan will get his pic up soon. Noah (aka arkie spiker) might chang his nickname to Noah Arkie. Keep your eyes peeled or somethinglike that...9/11/98Page updated...we had our first show...
8/25/98I added some lyrics. And guess what! Today Ian and I picked up the sept./oct. issue of HM and The Armored Trucks are in there! Yeah! We sold out! We're going big time now! Ok, maybe not. Anyway, It's kinda weird cuz that tape of us is really bad. I mean, we're not very good as it is...oh well. Someone is lookin' out for us. Ok, see ya next time!
8/15/98I updated the page today (obviously). Our show in Muskegon at Java the Hutt got canceled because the Fire Marshall said it was not safe or something. Oh well. We got another show in Clare though. See ya!
7/24/98I finally updated the page. A bunch of other stuff has happened too. The Ripped Heart Comp. Volume 2 is out. Check out our page to see how you can get it. We also have a second show in Muskegon (check out the show page). So we now have two shows coming up in the next 2 months. That's about all for now...
6/18/98Well, we got a show! It's not until Sept. 19th. But this way you can all make plans to be there. It's a Saturday night and it's at Olde Jamestown Hall in Saginaw. More later...
6/15/98Ian and Arkie got back from a trip to Kenucky today. Union Dan also came up from his home. He'll be staying for the summer.
6/13/98Ian Remorse is thinking of changing his name to Ian Plumpy.
6/10/98Yesterday Arkies cat (Cricket) broke it's leg and now it has a giant cast that it has to wear for 8 weeks.
6/2/98The Armored Trucks got a guestbook today. Super, huh? Oh, about a week ago The Armored Trucks Prep Relations Advisor, Chad W., had a asthma attack or something. I don't know, he's ok now though. Just thought we'd let ya know.
5/28/98 Ripped Heart Productions called the band today to confirm their entry for the compilation tape. All that means is that the Armored Trucks will be on this years Ripped Heart Productions Compilation Tape. Look for it sometime in June. R.H. Productions also asked The Armored Trucks to play a show at Memorial Hall on Friday, May 29. But alas, no dice. Union Dan couldn't make it, and ummm, we only have a few songs that we know real good anyway. Oh well. More news later.
5/24/98 Early Sunday morning me (Arkie) and Ian Remorse went down to pick up Union Dan. We practiced up on 3 songs, Statement, Messed Up Situation and Kids Proclaim. We recorded the songs in my basement on a borrowed 2 track. They sound kind of like a punk rawk band playing in somebodys basement. But you know, that's cuz we were playing in my basement. Anyway, things went pretty good. We sent the tape along w/ some other stuff to Ripped Heart Productions. Ripped Heart Productions is mainly just this cool guy who helps support the christian underground scene in Michigan. He's putting out a comp. tape this summer. We will probably be on it. It'll be out sometime late June. More news later.
