The death of Paul McCartney

Do you know that Paul is dead? At least, lots of people in the sixties seemed to believe in that!! And till this day, there are still some adepts of Paul is dead band.

Many people doesn't know exactely how this history begun, so here it is a compilation of several facts collected here, there and everywhere from 1989 to 1997.

This legend began on Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band era. Many people seemes to find 'clues' on Paul's death on lots of Beatles ongs and covers. He would have been killed in a car crash in 1966. This would explain why the Beatles stopped touring. But the circus never stopped, so Paul was replaced by Billy Sheers...

The Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Heatrs Club Band cover would represent Paul's funeral. The fact of he being the only backward beatle on the backcover was a definitive proof that he was dead. Why shouldn't him show his face, unless if he was NOT him? AND, right above his head on the backcover, we read the words Without you. Coincidence? Somepeople didn't believe so...

If you look at Magical Mistery Tour film, you'll se that there's a secne in which Paul is the only beatle to be desguised. Why?? On the White Album, John says strange things on the end of Glass onion. Legend varies. Somepole say he says I buried Paul, some people say he says Paul is dead too. Some people say you have to play the record backwards to hear this message, some people say you don't. However, the truth is that John said Cranberry Sauce at the end of Strawberry Fields, and some people managed to see that as a Paul's death clue.

But the definitive clue came on Abbey Road. As everybody knows, the Beatles sequence on the cover represent a funeral, and Paul being in the condition of the dead. He ported no shoes, like deadmen, so it was a irrefutable clue. The car aprked on the stree had this number 28IF. Of course: he would be 28 years old IF he was alive...

In 1993, Paul gave another clue for his own death, with the album Paul is live. The cover shows Paul crossing Abbey Road with his late dog Martha, and the inlay card says Paul is live in the new world. Of course!!! How couls Paul be with Martha unless he was dead too? He is live, BUT in the new world, which means...HEAVEN!!!

There's a lovely mythological version of this legend. The devil would have come to John in a flaming pie... John would have made a deal with the him, in order to get sucess. In 1966 teh devil came back to get his payment. John refused, so the devil took Paul instead, but said he would come back again when John was in the happiest period of his life. This was in 1980... That guy whose name we never mention said he heard demoniac voices in his head, telling him to do what he did.

Now Paul comes with Flaming Pie. And guess what he sings: I'm the man in the flaming pie...The legend continues.
