My Theory on Peer Pressure

Why do people always blame things on peer pressure? "I didn't
really want to _________ but ev'ryone else was doing it...and i
felt out of place, so i did it." BULLSHIT. I truly believe that
if you don't want to do something, you won't do it. Case in
point...Charles Manson [please don't think that i stand for or
support anything that he stands for.] Oh, and to clear the record,
Charles Manson didn't kill anyone. He is not a Murderer, Mass or
otherwise. The women who killed "for" him barely got punnished
for the crimes -they- committed and He is probably going to be in
jail for the rest of his life. Do you know why???
I'll tell you why...Before the true murderers left home, they
were all straight A students, all girlies, all good mommy and
daddy's girls, and then all of the sudden they started acting like
*Gasp*...Teenagers. They started staying out all night, fucking
boys in the back seat of cars at "The Look-out", The Drive-in,
"lover's lane", etc., Doing drugs, [reefer, shrooms, acid, etc.]
and things like this. Well that didn't sit too well with Laurence
and Delores so they kicked the kids out. Did they find a place to
stay? You bet. They moved to the Desert to live with Charlie.
He Gave them a place to stay, gave them drugs, gave them God,
Satan, Love, Hate, Sex... ev'ry thing a teenage girl in the sixties
could ever want. He never actually asked them to kill anyone,
but it was easy to convict him. All the girls had to say was
"charlie told us to do it." The only reason Charles Manson is in
jail is because America needs a Scapegoat. Satan, Drugs,
Rock 'n Roll, Charles Manson, The Black Community, Teenagers,
Elvis, Television, Mtv, Beavis and Butt-head, Movies,
"Gangsta Rap", etc...these are all scapegoats that america uses
to supply white christians with all of the superstition they need
to keep them at work during the day, at Wal-mart in the evening,
and at home with the door locked and the covers pulled up to
their chins at night.
As far as peer pressure goes...i think that it's the worst
Scapegoat of all. Using the crutch of peer pressure denotes a
weak person. When someone says, "i didn't want to drink, but i
felt like i had to." all i think is "you weak son of a bitch." or "Liar, Liar, pants on fire..."
If you want to do something, you'll do it. you might want to
play the game, you know, "ouch...yr twisting my
arm...ok....uncle!!! I'll snort it."
And you may not, but if you want to do something, you'll do it.
If you don't want to do something you won't. Let me give you
a little peek into my background.
Drinking: Almost all of my mother's family drinks like fish,
and i really don't think that there is anything wrong with that,
simply because they can handle it and it's not like they're
exactly spending rent money on Hootch. i drink legally...when i feel like it...not when i need to. I drink because i wanted to.
Smoking: I started smoking abt one year ago and only smoke now
when i want to...not when i need to. It doesn't bother me when i
don't have a cigarette, and i started smoking because i wanted to.
Drugs: i have been around reefer since i was Seven. I started
smoking reefer when i was 17...and stopped when i met my first reefer addict. yes, pot is addictive. i know several people who do not function properly without smoking marijuana.
I don't smoke reefer because i don't want to. at times i will use "trucker speed" (no doze, max alerts, etc.) although i realize it's not the best thing for me, i like the way it makes my head feel...physically...if you've ever done speed, you know what i mean. i also enjoy Special K because i like feeling like an animal. ritalin makes me feel like a dead god, so i try to be alone when i use it. i use the drugs i use because i want to...and i use them very infrequently.
Now, i'm not saying "be like me." I'm saying don't lie or feel
ashamed for anything you do. If you do something, you wanted to
do it. That's yr choice to make, right or wrong. so if yr one of
those dorks who have a problem facing the consequences of yr
actions or a girlie who can't say "No" to johnny football,
a joint passing under yr nose, a bottle in front of yr face...Stay the Fuck Home.
