Lately the UK promo weren't that interesting. Just the same cover as the stock release with only one track on it. Lucky sometimes somebody at A&M has a clear moment, and yes something nice is born.
I WAS BROUGHT TO MY SENSES
UK promo 5"CD single A&M 3884812, just one track. The cover is gold with black letters saying STING/I WAS BROUGHT TO MY SENSES. Looks a bit like the album CD promo for Mercury Falling.
And yes, there it is already a bootleg of Sting's Houston concert

I found this several weeks ago at the Pollstar home page.
Sting stopped in Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City for an October 16th concert during his current world tour. In recent years, Communist Vietnam has hosted several Western rock acts but the Sting show at the 4,000-seat Phan Dinh Phung Gymnasium was by far the biggest rock'n'roll to-do the country has ever seen.
Accompanying Sting to Vietnam was his agent, former Vietnam Veteran Ian Copeland, who hadn't set foot in that country for 28 years. Copeland told POLLSTAR, "It was one of those great experiences in life to return to a scene like that, especially under such extremely different circumstances."
During their four days in country, Copeland took Sting to many of the places he had been during the war. "It was great to go with Sting.... It was a whole different experience than it would have been if I had gone on my own or with some old Vietnam Vets."
Copeland said Sting was blown away by the land and its people. "Certainly, the Vietnamese are one of the most beautiful people in the world," Copeland said. "They're so friendly and they love Americans.... They are like children in the Garden of Eden."
I have read so many interesting things about Vietnam in the last several years. I would very much like to visit the country. I might try the next time Sting is there!

here's an urgent info for all people who don't travel to Sting's shows in London:
Regatta De Blanc, the best Police cover band, is playing at the Starclub in Oberhausen, Germany on December 6. Tickets are availble for 16.50 DM.
Maybe there will be more gigs of RdB.

This was on the Elvis Costello mailing list. It suggests that Sting did a live performance on KSCA sometime this year, either in the studio or a live concert broadcast.

Adult alternative station KSCA-FM will celebrate the release of its third annual "Live From The Music Hall" CD with a free party at the Troubadour Nov. 25. The CD goes on sale Nov. 26 and will feature performances by Sting, Wallflowers, Suzanne Vega, Lyle Lovett, ELVIS COSTELLO, the BoDeans and others... the CD will be on sale at area Virgin Megastores.
I have no idea what EC track will make the CD, but if I spot a copy, I'll try to post the info here.
