Traffic on the list seems to have been pretty slow, and I just saw Sting last night so I thought I'd just drop a message and say it was fantastic (as to be expected). I thought Sting was much looser this time around, much easier with the crowd, and that the band were more free in their playing. It was rather funny during If you Love Somebody, because Sting and Vinnie got behind the backing vocal track and so the vocal track for the chorus came in two bars before the rest of the band - they had a good laugh at it and I don't think anyone noticed.
All in all it was a fantastic show, though I was surprised he didn't play more from Mercury Falling (for all you Soul Cagers he DID play Mad About You, and it got a pretty big cheer when recognised as well...)
Ok, well that should do, except if anyone else is here in Australia, did you catch his interview on 2MMM last week? What did you think of the studio versions? For everyone else he did an hour long spot on this radio station, taking calls and performing both ISHICSC and YSTM live and acoustic. I suppose there's one recording that no-one else on the list will have.
