Thanks everybody and ... WOW! 70 entries! Once again you set up a new record. Okay, this competition was extended to 4 weeks due to my whacky deadline information in the original Usenet article. But the old record was already erased after 3 weeks of contest.
For the first time there was a genuine Country artist (Sammy Kershaw) included and though that doesn't match the playbook's information the question performed quite well. So, who knows, there might be more Country artists coming up occasionally in future contests...
So finally it's time to announce the Sharp Shoosters as the winners of Gerald's Lyrics Quiz #07 with a record breaking score of 174 points. But let's not forget to mention Natalie who had the contest of her life peaking at number two, tied with former winners "The I Love Abstracts Team". I was a bit anxious to put a genuine Country song in the quiz, but this result gives me the courage to keep it up occasionally. Though it was originally done by The Amazing Rhythm Aces still a lot of people identified the Cajun Man.
