So it's 1999, obviously. Time for a new set of Bonehead Awards. For those of you keeping score, I've listed the first annual Bonehead Award winners, and then under that is the rules and the breakdown for the new awards.

THE PITCH

"The Party Like It's 1999 Bonehead Awards" will technically be the Y2K Bonehead Awards, since I'll announce the winners on January 1, 2000 (assuming we're all still here, if you're one of those doomsday weirdos). But I liked calling 'em this better, 'cause hey - I'm a huge Prince fan. *LOL* NOT. Anyway. Well...he did have his good songs..."Purple Rain" was cool..."Raspberry Beret"...."Little Red Corvette"....nevermind. Moving right along...

THE CATEGORIES

I've decided to make the categories really strange this time around. Why? Because it seems like the same sites always win for the same categories. You know what I mean - Best Liam Site, Best Noel Site, Best Lyrics, etc. It all comes down to the same thing, usually. So I've decided to make these categories up right here, without giving any prior thought to them, so they'll be as off the wall as possible.
Site With The Coolest Entry Page (The Liam Award) - A lot of sites these days (mine included...guess I sold out to The Man) have "entry" pages. Y'know, a page that makes you click here, there, or everywhere to get to the "main" page. So which Oasis site out there has the coolest, most entertaining, least aggravating, whatever, entry page? Obviously, this category is only open to nominations of sites that HAVE entry pages. Well, duh.
Easiest Site To Navigate (The Noel Award) - Since we all know Noel hates the internet so, I imagine he would appreciate a site that's neat...maybe with categories or something...well, you know what "easy to navigate" means. A site that doesn't drive you bats trying to find things on it or get around it.
Site With The Coolest Background (The Alan Award) - A lot of sites don't have picture backgrounds, and the ones that do are sometimes annoying 'cause they make the font a color that's, like, impossible to see on that particular picture or whatever. So we're looking for the site with the best background. Can you get any more self-explanatory than that?
Site With The Most Links (The Guigsy Award) - Helping out your fellow man is evidently a peachy thing to do. *L* So if you find a site that has a plethora of links, nominate it for this award. The winner of this one can't really be subjective, since all I have to do is count up the links. *L*
Site With The Best Tunes (The Bonehead Award) - I dunno about you, but I hate it when I'm looking for a song by a band, and I can't find it anywhere on the net. 5 million webpages for the band, but no sound clips of the song I'm lookin' for. So this award'll go to a page that has a ton of tunes - preferrably not just those little 20 second clips....whole tunes, in RealAudio or .mp3 format...somethin' like that.
The Site That Kept It Real (The Oasis Award) - At this particular point in time, when Oasis are sitting on their butts somewhere in England doing NOTHING productive...it's hard to stay on track with a fan site. With hardly any news (unless one of 'em gets their chick pregnant or gets a DWI), no new music, and Oasis pretty much being completely out of the public eye, you've gotta work to keep up a site about 'em. If your band is in the spotlight one minute and doing fook all the next, that leaves you with a severe lack of material. I should know, that's the excuse I always use for not updating my site. *L* So this award will go to the site that has kept up regular updates, dug and found the current dirt on the boys, and basically maintained their insane dedication to the band throughout this late-90's Oasis drought.

THE GOODS

Once again, I'll be making my own little award logos. They're never all that impressive, since I'm no Paintshop Pro wizard, but this time around, I plan on making them a little more interesting. Lets just say if you find out your site is a nominee, try to get a picture of yourself scanned if you don't have one done already.

You can nominate your own site or someone else's, but limit it to one site per category. In other words, you can't nominate a site for every category - just one. However, you can nominate as many sites as you want, just as long as you make it a different site for every category. That's it. Go to town.
