Hey- this is the page where I get all self-involved and stuff.
My name is Kari. I'm 16 years old, and a Sophomore at HSE. Hmm... stuff I like. I like SKA, cartoons, I have an undying love for music, and some of my favorite memories just so happen to be concerts--what can I say -- you just can't beat watching your fave bands live! My favorite bands are Handsome, Less Than Jake, the Pietasters, Buck O Nine, the Decepticonz, Silverchair, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and numerous others. Fri.(2/21/97) I went to a Silverchair concert and Handsome opened(it really kicked butt). Then, just be fore Saint Patty's Day (3/14/97) I went to a Pietasters concert with my friend, Ana. (for those of you who don't know- The Pietasters are a very happy ska band). On May 20th I saw Handsome yet again at the 9:30 club here in DC and it was an incredible experience for me, if you wanna know what happened take the link to my Handsome page and read the review I wrote. May 31st I got the chance to go to the HFStival--it's a music festival put on by a local radio station (99.1 WHFS)20 bands played there including Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Reel Big Fish, and Local H. It was a great show and a good time was had by all. And The latest one of my concert adventures was Warped Tour '97 in Wash. DC. What can I say--it was punk and ska at its purest form a few bands at the show were Less than Jake, Suicide Machines, Pennywise, H2O, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, and Social Distortion--there were many others too but I enjoyed those the most I guess. I'll try to keep this up to date as far as my future "thrill seeking" adventures go.So-stayed tuned! BYE
