Whitney's music has always put me in a good mood. I began liking her when i was in fifth grade. I was overweight at the time and did not have many friends at school. Her musi at that time was the only pick me up i had. Now that i'm 25 and thin, i can honestly say that the words in the greatest love are true, love yourself-no matter what anyone thinks. peace and love to anyone having a problem with themselves and to you ms. houston--as tina turner says "you are simply the best."
Since I was old enough to enjoy music I have been Whitney lover#1.I have all of her albums even albums she sang background for!I have 72 posters from magazines and 12 large wall posters!I have been to 12 concerts!1 in pa(where I am from)2 in Ca,1in Oregon,3 in maryland,4 in Nj,and one in New York!I am whitney crazy! And this is a great page and will most deffinantly come here a lot!
My story is that I fell deep in love with Whitney 4 year ago. Whitney singing has been somethingI needed a pit me up. See I have alot of touble with my reading and spelling. I was in the rsp for 7 years and for the last 4 year Whitney was then for me and I would hear her soug and it make me feel at I could do any thing if I put my mind to it. In 6 grade I said to my Whitney picturn that I was going to get all a's on my report card. Well I did i because Whitney help with her smile and her singing. I alway try my very hard to make her proud of me. In 7th grade I work the same way and got all A's on repot card but in one class a teacher give me B- almust a C+. I was mad because I was helping someone in the class at got A+ and because of that my grade were down. ButItotal the teacher that I couldn't Him no more because my grade was a B-. Also this in 7th grade I was Sexual hass for 6 mouth and I could tell my mom. So I would tell my Whitney picture what happen every day and it helped but it didn't stop. I total my math teacher. She made my tell the offic and Mrs. Romer tell him that he had to said sorry but that was not what I want. I call My mom at work and total her she came and called the school. I want in to my room and trun on my Whitney and LOOK at My Whitney Book. It make my feel alot better but it hurt what he did to me If I didn't have Whitney, My Mom and Mrs. Dixon I think I would have neave got thow it. What did then do to the boy? Not a thing. I hate that, Well not hate. In the middle of the year then had a Programe for 14 and up teen to get a job and I did. I work at a Morueo Vally Mini Camp. I love work with Kid. I will work all summer and I get pay, too. Well at the end of 7th grade I find out that I will not be in the RSP next year. I want to thank Whitney and my mom and fiamly and Mrs. Dixon. I love all Of them so much. I think Whitney doing what she wants to do with. If Whitney want to stay wite Bobby that is great. Please that is what she wants to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love you whitney and thank you. Thanks for leting me write this.
Well I'm a 15yr old Whitney lover who fell in love with her singing in grade 2 (if not younger) the big song then was "The Greatest Love of All" I fell for that song and asked my teacher if the juinior choir could sing it and sure enough it was song at our spring concert. Whitney is my inspiration, she's my HERO in many ways. She's helped me through thick and thin (even though she doesn't no it) I hope she keeps her love for kids and keeps her songs on the go. Whitney your my life and inspiration and I hope someday to see you in concert!!
~Courtney~
I have been a Whitney Houston fan since her 1st solo album. I have loved everything that she has released to the public. Whitney keep up the good work! Never loose focus on the gift and blessings that our father has given you. I wish I had the opportunity to meet you in person even if it was for 5 minutes. I love your blessful voice and spiritial guidence and your dedication to your fans. God bless, you, your family and your VOICE!
I HAVE BEEN A WHITNEY HOUSTON FAN SINCE HER STUNNING SOLO DEBUT ALBUM, "WHITNEY HOUSTON" IN 1985. ONE THING I LOVE ABOUT MS. HOUSTON AND HER RECORDINGS IS HER REMARKABLE ABILITY TO "CHANNEL" A SENSE OF CONFIDENCE, HOPE, PRIDE, AND A STRONG SPIRITUAL SENSE INTO EVERY RECORDING. SHE HAS ALSO BEEN ONE OF THE FEW RECORDING ARTISTS WHO IS ABLE TO BE VERSATILE WHILE STILL MAINTAIN HER OWN ORIGINAL STYLE. FOR THIS REASON SHE ABLE TO WORK WITH SUCH SUPER MUSIC PRODUCERS AS DAVID FOSTER, KENNETH "BABYFACE" EDMONDS, MICHAEL MASSER, AND NARADA MICHAEL WALDEN. AS ANOTHER FAVORITE SINGER OF MINE, LUTHER VANDROSS, SAYS IN AN INTERNET INTERVIEW, SHE IS A SINGER WHO DID NOT HIT THE LOTTERY BY COMING ALONG AT THE RIGHT TIME. SHE IS TRULY WORTHY OF EVERY BIT OF SUCCESS SHE HAS ACHIEVED AS WELL AS THE FUTURE SUCCESS I KNOW SHE WILL CONTINUE TO ACHIEVE. THE FALSE REPORTS THAT ARE OFTEN DOCUMENTED ON DIFFERENT TABLOID TELEVISION MAGAZINES AND IN PRINT PUBLICATIONS WILL ONLY ADD MORE FUEL TO HER "SUCCESS VEHICLE." I HAVE ENJOYED SEEING HOUSTON IN "THE BODYGUARD," "WAITING TO EXHALE," AND "THE PREACHER'S WIFE," AS WELL AS THE COMPLEMENTARY SOUDTRACKS TO EACH MOVIE RESPECTIVELY, AND I HOPE SHE CONTINUES TO DO MORE MOVIES, AND OF COURSE, I HOPE SHE CONTINUES TO RECORD MORE MUSIC. GOD HAS TRULY BLESSED HER WITH A POWERFUL, SOUL-STIRRING VOICE, AND THE "PLATINUM TOUCH." AS LONG AS HE CONTINUES TO WATCH OVER HOUSTON, HER SUCCESS WILL GROW EVEN MORE IN ABUNDANCE.
I became a fan back in 1986. I was home watching a program called Video Hits Parade and out of nowhere, the video of "All At Once" came out. The first time I heard Whitney sung, it was magical. I instantly fell in love with her wonderful voice. Closing credits of "All At Once" came out and there, I came to know the artist who is to become my musical inspiration up to this time, Whitney Houston.
I came to admire Whitney even more last year when she recorded the "The Preacher's Wife" soundtrack. She did it for the Lord. Being a faithful servant of God, she gave back whatever glory and honor the Lord has given her through the years. That, I believe, is truly admirable.
Whitney, if you are reading this, keep up the good work. And may the Lord continue to bless you and your family !!!
Whitney I just want to say thanks. I think your music is so pretty . I am 16 years old and I have all of your cd's and I know all the lyrics. You have a gift from god to be able to sing so nice. I have a dream that one day I will be able to go to one of your concerts. My brother went to one in 1995 but he didnt invite me. I love your music, your voice, and your lyrics. I love you Whiney your the best
love your #1 fan ASHLEY
I been a Whitney Houston fan I don't know how long. I seen all her movies and I'm still trying to get all of her cds. I listen to them so much that I drive my family crazy. I reason I like Whitney's music is because she is clean and has a great voice. I have collection of magazines in my room on Whitney. I wish that I can meet her in real life and spend time with her to.
I really enjoy listening to Whitney Houston's music. I think that she has far more vocal power that Mariah Carey or Celine Dion. I have so many favorites, but I really enjoy You Give Good love, All the man that I need, Miracle, and You're Still my man. I only wish that Arista had promoted the Preacher's Wife More.
I have always been a big whitney fan, every since I was little. My big dream is to one day meet her and talk to her. My biggest passion has always been for music, and Whitney will always be my mentor, whether I am famous some day or just sing for fun! I love you, Whitney!
I must confess that it wasn't until the "Waiting to Exhale" movie came that I started to like Whitney. On that soundtrack she performed songs that really connected to me as a woman, and what I was going through at that time. Particularly the song, "Count On Me"! I was at a period in my life when I needed a great deal of courage, and listening to Whitney and CeCe sing that song helped to build my courage, along with God's help.
Then the Preacher's Wife CD. Oh my God!! I am a gospel artist myself, and listening to Whitney belt out those gospel tunes was glorious!! Her voice is really anointed. I hope she continues to sing gospel music, because that's where her strength and longevity lie, in JESUS! God Bless You Whitney! Keep on Singing HIS Praise!! Love and kisses, Peri.
I FIRST HEARD OF WHITNEY WHEN I WAS 9 YEARS OLD. I HADNT PAYED MUCH ATENTION UNTIL 1992. MY MOM BOUGHT THE BODYGUARD AND I LOVED IT.I AM NOW 14 YEARS OLD AND I LOVE WHITNEY TO DEATH.I DON'T BELIVE ANY OF THE STUPID RUMOURS ABOUT HER.I BUY(AND WILL CONTINUE TO BUY) EVERY WHITNEY CD OUT UNTIL I DIE. WHITNEY, REMEMBER THIS HOLD YOUR HEAD UP HIGH, AND REMEMBER GOD IS ALWAYS WITH YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Im 26 from Singapore a male and a Whitney fanatic too. Just want to tell you that you had done a very well job indeed for this homepage. Saw her in concert in 1995 while she was here and last year I was so close to touch her as she was on transit in Singapore before flying back to New Jersey after perfoming for the Brunei's Sultan grand 50th birthday. I was on the airplane actually together with the whole entourage who were flying First class.
Well I really started to listen to music pretty late in my life actually when I was in senior high. Didn't really know much though then especially those music of the early eighties then like what late bloomers always did I managed to catch up. My obsession of Whitney pure accidental as a good friend of mine who is a big Madonna fan bought Whitney's album Whitney after the song charted no.1 trans atlantic in 1997. I didn't really think of her much though at that time until I started to listen to her Whitney Houston. That's where it all started and when the debate of comparing her to Madonna at that time was so huge and ugly. But it was fun - ha ha ha!!!
Actually I am not really a fan of Madonna and I can only say that I like some of her songs and respect her talent in music and entertainment. As when I started to leave my teenage years to adulthood Whitney's music had never grown out of me instead they brought different meanings and meant differently at each phase of my life. Not many great singers of the 80's are able to to have such feat like what Whitney and Madonna had done - still around in 1997!!!
My all time Whitney's favourite is One Moment In Time. Only God knows how much that song meant to me as it's so inspiring as it had been in 1988 and in 1997.
I am Whitney Houston's #1 fan I love everything about her. I have been her biggest fan for almost 7 years, and I have collected everything I can on her I have all of her songs, and I love every one of them. My only wish is that I could meet whitney and go to a Whitney Houston concert. She is great on TV so I know she would be the bomb in a concert. Whitney if you are reading this I would like you to know that I would do anything to meet you and spend at least one day with you and I am your #1 fan.
God Bless you, and may you have much continued success.
Love always your #1 fan she'Levon Jones
This is the way a became a Nippy fan. The first song I heard of her "Saving all my love" on the radio and I was 12 but then I just liked the song and nothing else but when I saw the first time the video of the "Greatest love of all" I couldn't believe this woman can sing with this precious voice and at the same time be so beautiful. I was amazed and confused becuase after a time would appear "I wanna dance" and on that video she was quite different in her look, till I learned her name (at that time I didn't speak English) I realized she was the same person and began liking more and more. But the definite moment was when I first heard and saw the "Didn't we almost have it all?" video that video and song and way of singing from her change completely my point of view and my way of listening to someone sing. The powerful of her voice, her feeling, her emotion, just make me cry and put my hair up. I think this was exactly the moment I became a fan. She was all beautiful, she has a lot of soul and she really can sing and move all your inside with just listned to her. She is the best. When she was here in my country I went to see her in both concert and after I went out from the stadium the last night I thought to myself that now I can die happy because I saw my dear and beautiful baby. I love Whitney and I think I will always do. Javier, el fanatico de esa negra hermosa!!!
My love for Whitney began when my mom went to New York and as a present she bought me the soundtrack to 'The Bodyguard'. I remember how amazed I was that anyone could have such an amazing voice. Then I started collecting her other albums and I was playing them full blast every day and every minute. (It drove my family nuts!!) I also bought 'The Bodyguard' movie and 'Waiting to Exhale' and I watch them almost every weekend(I'm serious!!) I even made this Whitney table in my room where I have her albums, videos, pictures and anything else on her, no matter how small, laid out. All my friends think I'm crazy that I can be so obsessed with one singer but they just don't understand that once you are introduced to Whitney, it changes your life! I admire everything about her and I would give ANYTHING to meet her... Thankyou Whitney for giving me so much inspiration through you and your music....
That's around the time I started watching the awards ceremonies (past my then bedtime --- I had to fight my parents to watch) to cheer for her.
Basically, my love for her grew more and more through the years. The more I found out about her, the more I loved her.
-- Rachel.
I also started liking Whitney when I first heard "Saving all my love". I knew after I heard that song that I was hooked on her sweet delivery of a beautiful love song. I have a excellent cd and video collection of Whitney stuff. I really enjoy her live stuff like the Didn't we almost have it all video, that was amazing. Her live stuff from TV appearances and concerts is really good too! I hope she sings Exhale at the Grammy Awards, that would really send me to heaven! Did you see her do Why does it hurt so bad on the MTV Movie awards? She sang that song! I'm glad they released that version on a single. Her Saturday night live show was also a big treat. My favorite song the PW sdtrk is "You were loved and I beleive in you and me and Who would imagine a king". She is just awesome and I love her music and movies and live appearances. I guess I am a fan, and if I knew how to create a website I would definately dedicate it to her.
shoop shoop!
Here's my story. I became a fan when I was really young, when "Saving All My Love For You" came out. I've always loved music and the first music I was exposed to were Madonna and Whitney Houston. I grew to love Whitney as time went by. I was still young and the pop dance stuff Madonna made really appealed to me more. When Whitney released the "Bodyguard", I appreciated her even more. "I Will Always Love You" really touched me and its lyrics and her powerful voice just moved me so much. I also grew to really love her other songs on the album especially "Run To You" and "I Have Nothing". As time went by, my respect for her grew as I learned about all she's accomplished and when I saw her devotion to her marriage. Especially now that "The Preacher's Wife", I am really proud of how she can go up and sing gospel and release an album like this. It's really admirable and now I don't view her as just another pop singer but a great artist.
