- tabloid appearances
- Oasis have been back in The Sun's gossip pages, accused of boycotting a TV profile of Creation Records and its founder, Alan McGee. The Sun declared that Liam and Noel wouldn't be taking part in the BBC "Omnibus" programme, scheduled to be shown in September, as they "have grown apart from the man who signed them in 1993". A spokesman at Creation Records told The Maker that there has still been no decision on Oasis' participation, since they are taking their long-awaited break. However, filming is continuing up until the middle of August.
- Liam cropped up again in The Sun under the headline: "Club Boss In Terror Over Liam Threats". Jake Panayiotou, the owner of London's trendy Browns club, has been going on the record again about an incident in which he claimed to have been told by Liam: "I'm going to have you sorted." Panayiotou claimed: "I've had to employ a security guard because I believe that Liam was serious."
