- "Oasis Video Upsets MTV"
- Oasis are facing problems with MTV's lawyers, The video for their new single, "Go Let It Out", parodies MTV's distinctive block captions with the words 'THE BEST VIDEOS ALWAYS MAKE ROOM FOR BIG CAPTIONS'. MTV at first reacted with humour, introducing the video with a tiny caption, but are now taking legal advice about a possible breach Of copyright. A spokesman said: "You can see it as a back-handed compliment. However, our legal team are looking into it."
- Meanwhile, Noel Gallagher has been telling 'The Big Breakfast' about distant plans to release a solo album. He claimed to have written a lot of new material that he could not imagine Liam singing.
- Oasis last week parted company with long-time press officer Johnny Hopkins, who has left to launch a new project. The Manics' PR company, Hall Or Nothing, has taken over, confirming details of Oasis' new label, Big Brother, which they own. It will take over the UK licence of the band's catalogue from Creation. The first release on the new label will be Oasis' "Go Let It Out" single.

- Meg’s Mini-Oasis (Sunday People)
- Noel, happily living in his Country House, is now looking to buy his party-mad missus Meg a £300,000 pied-a-terre in London’s pretty swanky Belsize Park. Maybe the cab bills back to Buckinghamshire are starting to add up?
- All week Noel Gallagher was conspicuous by his absence. Preparing for parenthood, he even had a go at getting up early for 'The Big Breakfast'.
