- Liam's night out
- Liam Gallagher joined in the Stereophonics' celebrations last week after their second album, 'Performance And Cocktails', tore to the top of the charts.
- On Monday , March 15, the band had been celebrating their success at V2's headquarters in London's Holland Park. Later, when the band returned to their hotel nearby, The Halcyon, for a few after-hours drinks, they bumped into Liam, who arrived at the bar alone.
- The Oasis singer joined Kelly Jones, Richard Jones and Stuart Cable in their revelry, but when bass player Richard initially spotted the star, he mistook him for his older brother Noel, causing much hilarity. The partying included an impromptu jamming session with acoustic guitars until the early hours of the morning, with Kelly singing Oasis songs and Liam singing Stereophonics tunes.
- A slightly inebriated Kelly Jones, who confessed to being a litte star-struck on first meeting Liam, said: "He was in the hotel, so he came downstairs and had a pint with us. We were trying to do some Dylan and The Beatles stuff, but I couldn't remember the chords.
- "Liam was on guitar, so I was a bit shocked, y'know. He was a good player, good crack and a nice bloke."
- An onlooker told The Maker: "Liam seemed in a good mood. He looked well and happy and seemed to be enjoying himself with the band."
- Liam ended up booking into the hotel for the night when the boozing session finally came to an end.
- tabloid tales
- The Sun reported that Oasis drummer Alan White supposedly caused quite a smash at London's trendy Met Bar after a fit of rage. After ordering a bottle of champagne, White was apparently asked to move from a table because it was reserved for girl band N-Tyce.
- White, who was with his wife, allegedly demanded: "Do you know who I am? I'm from Oasis and we spend a lot of money here. We're not moving." When the champers turned up, he supposedly smashed it to the floor and his mates joined in by shattering all their glasses. The party then reportedly stormed out shouting: "Oasis made this f*****g place famous."
- Oasis' Liam Gallagher has been replaced by a 39-year old dad, Adrian Styles, according to The Sun! But only for a washing powder advert. The professional lookalike was picked ahead of dozens of others to play the rocker, who is only 26. He told the paper: "I was stunned when I got the part, but at least my ten-year old daughter now thinks I'm cool." Meanwhile, the real Liam was pictured with wife Patsy Kensit at a Restaurant Awards bash at London's Grosvenor House looking more lovey-dovey than ever.
