- "Bonehead Wins Planning Permission"
- Oasis' guitarist Bonehead has won planning permission for a basement practice studio at his home in Bowdon, near Manchester. As weel as creating a basement studio and editing room, the plans include the conversion of an outhouse to guest accommodation and a first-floor extension with a balcony overlooking the garden.
- Neighbours were initially worried, and objected to the plans on the grounds of noise nuisance, disturbance, loss of privacy and the possibility of the studio being used for commercial purposes.
- After attending a meeting at Trafford's planning committee, Bonehead has promised to negotiate with other residents on alol the contentious issues. He has pledged that the studio will be soundproofed and used for private practice and songwriting only.
