- "Bonehead Arrested"
- Oasis made a return to the tabloids jlast week. It was just like old times, as Liam Gallagher lambasted a journalist and Bonehead was arrested for being drunk and disorderly at a celebrity party.
- The event was held last week to celebrate the opening of designer label shop Tommy Hilfiger's in New Bond Street, London. The guests included racing driver Michael Schumacher, boxer Chris Eubank and American film director Spike Lee.
- Liam confronted Mirror journalist Matthew Wright, reportedly to tell him: "You are f*****g trouble, you are. You're the f*****g devil..."
- Later, Liam added:"You'll get yours on judgment day, mate. You're going to spend the rest of your days in hell. I'll make sure of that. I'm not going to f*****g kll you myself, no, I'm going to kill you with my music. I'll dance on your f*****g grave."
- Liam had arrived with Bonehead in a car at around 10pm, with Noel turning up an hour later.
- Bonehead ran into trouble with the doormen at around 11.30pm. A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "Security staff drew a passing police officer's attention to a 33-year old man shouting and swearing at them. he was told by the PC to stop and leave the area, but declined to do so and continued to shout and swear at security staff. He was arrested for being drunk and disorderly and was taken to West End Central police station. He later received a formal warning for being drunk and disorderly and was released at 4.30am"
- A spokesman for Oasis confirmed that Liam believed Wright to be the devil and that Bonehead was arrested and then released.
- "Oasis Rehearse New Material"
- Oasis, meanwhile, were in a London rehearsal studio last week "routining" new material for their forthcoming fourt album. They plan to start recording in mid April.
- They have secured the services of Mark "Spike" Stent to co-produce the album. Stent has previously worked with U2, Hole, Massive Attack and Bjork.
