"Oasis Handwritten Lyrics Up For Grabs"

Oasis are offering handwritten lyrics penned by Noel Gallagher for "Acquiesce" and "The Masterplan" as competition prozes on their official website.

A different set of prizes, including original artwork and promotional videos, are up for grabs every week this month to celebrate the release of their B-sides album, "The Masterplan", on November 2. Both songs are featured on the new album, the track listing for which was largely chosen by fans voting on the Internet.

An Oasis' spokesman told NME: "The "Acquiesce" lyrics were written on the way to the studio in February 1995. Noel wrote it while he sat on the train strumming his guitar. Then he went straight into the studio and recorded it."

To enter the competition, fans have to log on to the band's official website at www.oasisinet.com/ and guess a part of a missing lyric. There will be two winners who will each receive one lyric sheet each.

Captures them in concert at Earl's Court, London and Maine Road, Manchester. Includes a full supporting programme of Oasis' TV appearances and video promos.
