- "Liam Arrest Drama"
- Liam Gallagher was arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage last Wednesday [November 4].
- Paparazzo photographer Mel Bouzad alleges the singer broke his camera lens and stole his film in a fight outside the Pembroke Castle pib in London's Primrose Hill, near the offices of Creation Records.
- Liam was held in custody for four hours before being released on bail. A Scotland Yard spokeswoman would only say: "A 26-year old man has been bailed to return to Kentish Town police station at a later date." She would not say when.
- But a band spokesman told NME that Liam denied the allegations. He said: "Liam didn't hit him, he didn't break his camera or damage it. Bouzad had been following Liam for most of the day and there've been other instances of him pestering Liam in the past."
- He added that Liam was consulting his lawyers about possible action against Bouzad.
- Another photographer (who declined to be named by NME) working alongside Bouzad at the time backed up the latter's allegations. He said he'd heard that Liam was in the pub and that he'd bumped into Bouzad and suggested they get a picture of him because he was wearing a large furry hat. The photographer denied that he worked in partnership with Bouzad to deliberately rile the singer.
- He said the pair were simply waiting outside to get a picture - but as soon as Liam saw Bouzad's camera, he came running out of the pub, when the alleged assault took place. He maintains that at this point Noel entered the fray. Bouzad then called the police on his mobile phone, he claimed.
- Earlier in the day, Liam had been stopped and searched in Primrose Hill because the star and two friends were "acting suspiciously". Nothing was found to be amiss and no further action was taken.
- "Noel Live With Goldie"
- Meanwhile, Noel Gallagher apopeared with Goldie at his one-off live appearance at London's Heaven nightclub to perform a version of "Temper, Temper", the single they collaborated on last year.
- "Noel Appears On Late Late Show"
- Noel also confirmed he's to appear on a special edition of Ireland's 'The Late Late Show' that's being organised by The Corrs as a benefit for survivors and victim's families of the Omagh bombing. The show will be broadcast on November 20.
