- "Chemicals Reaction"
- Noel and Bernard team up with the Brothers
- Noel Gallagher and New Order's Bernard Sumner have recorded songs for The Chemical Brothers as-yet-untitled new album, due out in May this year.
- Sumner said: "The Chemicals thing came after one of them called and asked if I'd be interested. Of course I was, I love what you do."
- The Chemicals' Tom Rowlands said it was good to have another collaboration with Noel on the album, following the success of the Number One single, 'Setting Son'.

- So how are your New Year resolutions coming on, pop chums?...
- More successful in the New Year lurve stakes is Liam Gallagher, whose resolution to knuckle down and make his marriage work saw him make the utmost sacrifice this week. Yes, he went shopping in the January sales with Patsy. All can't have been well, however, judging by what they ended up with: Patsy bought an antique samurai sword and Liam an armoured beanie hat.
- But at least press relations have improved as you'll see from our gallery montage [of photos]. Here Liam cunningly solved paparazzie problems by taking self-portraits with a pap's camera on a night out with chums. Sadly he soon became confused, accusing himself of harassment and proceeded to beat himself senseless. Bless...
- ...Hence, at the first funky chime of Big Ben [at New Year], the nation's venues were suddenly swamped with top-notch lig action. At New Order's Alexandra Palace shindig, for example, we spotted Bobby Gillespie, Mani, Terrorvision and Noel Gallagher, who moshed his way right to the front in time to celebrate the New Year with a full blast of "Blue Monday" and then moshed his way straight out again when Bez appeared onstage...
- ...The there was the party for Creation Records where Noel Gallagher, Bernard Butler, Kevin Shields, 3 Colours Red, Arnold and One Lady Owner all found themselves caught up in Martin Carr's game of 'Pick The Tiny Box Off The Floor Using Only Your Mouth'...
