Noel Gallagher was the surprise support at three of Paul Weller's UK tour dates last week.
Noel played a six-song set on acoustic guitar at Wolverhampton Civic Hall on July 6, Bristol Colston Hall (7) and Plymouth Pavilion (9).
He covered songs by The Jam and The Beatles, as well as playing Oasis originals. No new material was aired.
The Jam song Noel chose was "To Be Someone" from the album "All Mod Cons". He also played The Beatles' "Help", and Oasis' "Wonderwall".
A spokesman for Noel told NME: "He's had quite a lot of time off lately and he just fancied playing again."
Oasis have also confirmed that their forthcoming B-sides album is to be called 'Masterplan' and will be released worldwide on November 2.
A photo shoot for the album took place in a converted warehouse on London's Isle of Dogs on July 6.
The session revolved around a Noel Gallagher lookalike child teaching music to a group of adults in a clasroom. The young Noel is pictured facing the class and the camera is situated behind the adults. The photo is said to have a late-'70s feel with many of the adults sporting flared trousers.
The "classmates" were largely made up of the band's friends and family and included several pensioners.
Noel Gallagher turned up briefly to the session.
