NEW MUSICAL EXPRESS

Noel Gallagher is now mastering the fourth, as-yet unnamed, Oasis album, slated for release on February 7 through Creation.
The band broke off from rehearsals last week when Liam's wife Patsy Kensit gave birth to the couple's first child, Lennon Francis, and Noel flew off to New York to begin mastering duties.
The band had been rehearsing with ex-Heavy Stereo guitarist/singer Gem and it's almost certain now he will replace Paul 'Bonehead'Arthurs as a new full-time member of the band. A spokesman for the band confirmed Gem was "in the running" for the job last week but that rehearsals would have to take place before an official announcement was made.
The replacement for Paul 'Guigsy' McGuigan is less certain, but it's thought ex-Smiths bassist Andy Rourke, now playing with Aziz Ibrahim, is favoured by Noel Gallagher.
