The news is out! Oasis are working on their fourth album. Despite media reports quoting Noel Gallagher's assertion that no new album would surface from Oasis before the end of the millennium, it looks like a new release might appear before the end of next year!
Reports say that Oasis have already finished nine tracks, all demos, and Liam has another two to contribute. Talking to the BBC, Noel said that: "We managed to do it on the quiet - we didn't have one photograph taken while we were doing it, we didn't have one person from the press sticking his arse through the letterbox and trying to get a story out of us and we've had a really good time doing it because it's been pretty low-key this time."
"I've got about another 20 songs left to demo yet, so by no means we've started the album yet, but it's getting close now. We were gonna take a year off but I think it's gonna be nine months now - everyone's getting seriously, seriously bored."
Noel has also been reporting on a possible UNKLE remix project with James Lavelle's MoWax label. "I'm doing this as a favour for James, 'cos he's a mate of mine."
