The Pinkerton Thugs - Rad band from Maine that blends 77 style punk rock, hardcore, oi, and even some folk.

Filth - Insane gloom punk on Lookout records. The Live The Chaos EP is one of my favorite releases of all time.

The Showcase Showdown - Snotty upbeat pogo from Boston

The Dead Kennedys - Go to hell if you don't know who they are.

Defiance - Punk in the style of the UK sound from Portland, Oregon. Remind me of One Way System.

The Pist - Short lived Connecticut streetpunk band. Members have gone on to start such other great bands as React and East Coast Panic.

React - Shit speaking of the Pist. Connecticut crust band with male female vocals. Members were in bands like State of Fear, and duh, the fucking Pist!

Violent Society - Hardcore punk from Philly.

Operation - I can't say enough about this extrememely political band from Sweden. Go to the site, listen to the song " Militant Kamp ", get hooked, and then pick up their LP " Frihet? " on Skuld Records. Fucking good.

Aus-Rotten - Awesome thrashy political punk from Pittsburgh. Similar to the Varukers.

Doom - Throaty political crust. Put some gravel in a running blender and you've got the Doom sound. URBN DK - HARDcore punk from Wisconsin.

:30 Seconds Over Tokyo - Strong rooted hardcore punk band from Boston.

Totalitar - Killer Swedish Crust. In our reviews section.

Screeching Weasel - Neither of us have ever gotten sick of these guys. Catchy as hell, you can never be too punk rock for these pop-punk kings so shut the hell up.

Diskonto - CRUST in the Mob 47 style.

State Of Fear - Another great Minneapolis band that recently broke up.

Oi Polloi - Excellent anarcho-punk from Scotland.

Amebix - UK gloom-core.

Destroy - Late 80's grind/crust band. Put Minneapolis on the punk rock map in my opinion. Singer is the popular Felix Von Havoc (Code 13, zine contributor).

Sub Hum Ans - Incredibly great early punk band from England. If you haven't heard them yet then do it soon.

The Adicts - Classic UK punk.

Spazz - Evil raver hating kung fu powerviolence. If you don't know who the fuck they are then that last sentence sounds really stupid.

Drop Dead - Extremely fast noisecore. Great.

Misery - Popular crust band from Minneapolis with a real heavy sound

The Unseen - Boston street punk you fucking nerds.

Moderat Likvidation - Inspirational 80's Swedish hardcore band.
