CARPTREE :
MAN MADE MACHINE

My first thought with this disc was "you've got to be freakin' kidding me". This Swedish band has given us the lamest slab of sissy-fied Prog-Rock that I've ever heard! Actually, this doesn't deserve to be called "rock" in any context. I wouldn't even bother posting a review for this stinker, except that I feel it's my duty to warn the public of this super-gay sonic menace. If you took the worst elements of Yes, Marillion, Queen, and Genesis, and then mellowed them out, you'd be close to the dribble found here. It makes my cringe just thinking about it. Gay vocals, gay keys, christ, ...gay everything! Actually, I shouldn't say such a thing, I'm insulting the gay community, not because I'm using the term "gay", but rather because I know they have better taste than to listen to this sap! I'm not wasting any more time here, if you're 40 years old, wearing a tie-dyed shirt right now, and still live in your parent's basement, then "Man Made Machine" could be for you! Still unsure? Well let me put it this way, if you're a pretentious music snob, who likes boring himself to tears, and digs melodic, symphonic crap with barely a pulse to be found, then by all means hunt the band down at carptree.com.
RATING = 2 Girly Prog-Rock (Released 2005)
