I've always loved Tanya's voice, ever since Throwing Muses and I've been following her career. She's definitely made progress from where she started. I Also love Belly's 2nd album, King. I could have once seen her when I used to live in Chicago at the Double Door in 1997, but I didn't know about it until my roommate told me it was on the radio- so I recorded most of it. You know just how amazing and underrated this album is. I appreciate your website.
It was impossible for me to choose one and only one favorite 'cause the entire album is my #1 when it comes to sentimental value.
My junior year in college, my roomate and i went to bed almost EVERY night to this disc. Needless to say, each song is now layered with multiple meanings...

Just wanna say I've loved tanya's music since the day Star came out - it was the first LP I ever bought and changed a 12 year old's life forever. Even now I find the beauty and intelligence of this record unbelievable. King is also wonderful, probably the

I saw Belly on their tour for star in Minneapolis at First Ave. I was right up against the stage in front of the guitar player, Gorman. It was the best live music experience ever. I also saw them in first Ave. for the King tour which was also great.
I am very happy with the new album and hope to see Tanya live again someday now that I live near NYC.

Just a note to say how much I have been enjoying Lovesongs for Underdogs. It has replaced Star as my pop cd of choice. I was a little put off at first. With no actuall band, it didn?t have the crunch of your last record, but in the end, your treatment
f the songs, the maturation in writing, and the way you have really found your way with your voice, won me over. I guess all the months of touring as Belly forced you to perfect your instument (dont get me wrong, there was nothing lacking before, you jus
now sing with more authority).
Thanks for putting out so many fine records over the years (yep an old Throwing Muses fan from the first record), your one of the few rockers I can still listen to.
