Information

The first section that has information is the one about the box set that is to be released within the next few years.  A lot of the information comes from the Internet Nirvana Fanclub and its newsletters.  If you have not sat down and read the information about this boxset, then I think it would be a good idea to do so.

There is also a guide for unreleased Nirvana material.  Which contains the following:

  • Earliest Recordings

  • Dale Crover demo

  • Bleach sessions

  • Mid - '90 to Late - '91

  • Nevermind Sessions

  • Mid - '92 to Early - '93

  • 1994 sessions

  • Songs played only once live

  • Never heard songs

Each section has through and helpful information about the recordings or songs available in that section.  In addition, there will be a few clips of songs you can download.

The information about Kurt's favorite singer, Leadbelly, is not found.  The next section I found was "On This Day.." This particular part of the page is divided up into weeks from last year, and it seems that this section is fairly new -- but not updated.  However as you can tell from the things that are listed, you will find shows they played and possibly, if any, information about that show.

An original section (or page for that matter) that I found was the First and Last performance guide.  This page is neat and attractive, with a list of the albums and the tracks on that album.  You will find the city and date of the first and last time they played that song.  Also linked to another page is "Nevermind: Its and Interview."  If you want to find some information about the movie, Kurt and Courtney, this page links you to the Sundance Festival website, and there you will be able to read some information about it. There is also a great article on Kurt's life that is linked from this page, too.  If you want to understand the history of the page, there is a section just for that.

Following those sections is one about the Background about Nirvana.  There is one major typo I found in that editoral, that date was 1994, not 1996.  As for the members, you can access a section about the whereabouts of the Members Before Nirvana.  The Timeline or Chronology contains the usual information you are probably accustomed to, but it does contain a few additions.   The page also has the Nirvana Discography and the Concert Chronology as well.

A link to Sup Pop's Nirvana Discography page (version 3.3) is a little helpful and very organized, but its not entirely necessary since the information is already available.  Another original section from Sup Pop's page is an Old Bio written by a Sup Pop publicist.

The next two sections are FAQs:  The Nirvana FAQ and the Equipment FAQ.  Following that is the Song List and "What do the songs mean?" section.  It would be neat to somehow integrate those two latter sections together.  Also on the page are the lyrics.  Nothing new here, but it is here.

There is a section for Articles and Interviews.   In all there are about 29 articles, 2 are which I believe I have not seen before.   There is a section about the Recording Sessions, and although there was a section about the subject already, this one is different.  As for the links, you'll find about 34 links available.
