Multimedia/Other
Since the information section offered quite a
bit, I believe that the multimedia will offer quite a bit too. In addition, there
are some sections that did not fit anywhere else, and that will be discussed in this
partion of the review.
The first thing that is available is that you
can Vote for Kurt as the Top 100 people in the Century. There is also a personal
section by the author. This is not a autobiography, moreover, it is about bootlegs.
The information about that is listed there.
There are some quizzes and surveys to take.
A survey about how you visited this page and some opinions about some things is on
the page. There is a 10 question quiz, and after that you can view the results of
the quiz (or the "Winner's circle").
If you want to download Nirvana stuff for your
computer, you can with some of the things this page offers. You can download icons,
tabs, media players. Some of the stuff is a litle bit outdated. MTV wants some
of your memories about Kurt and Nirvana, there is a link from that page to MTV's site
containing information about that.
Now we get to see the Pictures section.
There is a good list of 'em. There are no thumbnails, but rather a
description of the picture. The pictures gallery does not seem to be the least bit
dissapointing, in my opinion. All of the images in the Nirvana Artwork section are
broken.
The movies section is pretty good. For the
most part, these are about 1.5 megabytes in size and 30-seconds long. There are
about 50 available files. If the picture gallery was not satisfying for you, this
page offers some links to other photo galleries as well. Finally, you can
see the awards the site has won, and you can sign/view the guestbook.
Conclusion
The page has improved somewhat from the last
review, and I am definitely pleased with that. The graphics are a bit okay and
understandable, but there are other options to shorten the download time and for the
convience of the web user. The page offers plenty of content and a little bit of
multimedia. But what makes this page so strong is the content it has. It does
have some sections that are not very necessary, since some of it is the same material but
in a different format and from a different source. So anyone can really visit this
page.
