  • Best overall.

Robert's Choices:

Best Graphics - It has always been a belief of mine that graphics are not the most important thing of a site, but it is important.  What you do with graphics gives a first impression of your site.   First impressions are important for first-time visitors to your site. Keep in mind it is not in order from first to last.  Here are the sites with the best graphics:

  1. Grunger's Corner - This page has done an excellent job with the graphics it has.  It presents the material neatly.   Especially in the sections it has.  For example, you click on "Multimedia."  It has an image map directing you to the other sections.
  2. Never Fade Away - Simply put, the graphics here amaze me.  Each time Reidar does a major interface change, it really looks good.   He has done a good job with his current interface, keeping the download time low and the graphics cool.
  3. Nirvanamobile - It has done a good job presenting it's graphics and content on the page.  Thanks to the lovely theme and thanks to Java, this page has constructed quite well.

Best Content - Content is more important than graphics.  At least that is what I think.  I have always liked those sites with good content, regardless of what kind of graphics they have.

  1. Grunger's Corner - Yes, this site does make another mark concerning information.  It is not the originality that matters, but the numerous collection it has.
  2. Foo Fighters Internet Archive - What?!  A Foo Fighters page?  Yes, and it was reviewed.  This page has an outstanding collection of Foo material.
  3. Internet Nirvana Fanclub - Like Grunger's Corner, it is not the originality that concerns it, but the number it has.

Most Improved - Thanks to the reviews, some sites have improved.

  1. Captain America - A lot of changes has undergone this site since I first reviewed it earlier this year.  The graphics are good and so is the content.  Great job Greg.
  2. The Sun Is Gone - It has improved tremendously on graphics and content.  Another job well done.

Most Original - Originality is important, like content.  This was probably the toughest category to choose sites from.

  1. Never Fade Away - Very original, hands down.   It has articles and information that is not found anywhere else.
  2. I'm Worse At What I Do Best - Not a page anymore, but when it was around it was good.  It was one of two sites to win an award.

Best Overall - I did not list any sites here.  Personally, I think all of the sites that have been listed in the above categories are the best overall.  That is a huge understatement, however.  I think all of the sites, reviewed or not, that webmasters put a lot of effort into, day in and day out, have the sites that are best overall.
