Introduction
For those of us who are web surfers, the most likely thing we
will do when we are bored is surf the internet. Sometimes we will look for other
sites, sometimes we will look for Nirvana sites. Indeed, finding a new, decent
Nirvana site is as hard as answering the question, "Which came first: the chicken or
the egg?"

Why did IE do so "bad"
this time? Well, it is really the only browser (besides Opera) that was tested on
its first try. Netscape was tested after a series of visits to the site. As
you can expect, Neoplanet took advantage of IE's speed and cut the download time in half.
Disclaimer: The connection
test was done on a 56k Winmodem connected at 38.6 bps. Remember download times will
vary depending on your modem speed, browser, server of the page, telephone line activity,
and your internet service provide (ISP). This will not guarantee that the page will
download at the same rate on your computer as it does mine, this is just an estimate.
Graphics
About the test:
Matrox Millenium G200
8MB used.
ASTVision 4I monitor
used at 16-bit color and 800x600 pixels.
Browsers viewed: IE
5/Opera 3.51/Netscape Navigator 4.01/NeoPlanet 2.0.
The layout on this site is
pretty simple. For the IE, Neoplanet, and Netscape, the page looks the same.
As for Opera, the page is not centerized as it is in the other browsers, but you
should get the same meaning to it. The background is made up of red leaves. At
the very top of the page is the banner for the site. Under the banner are the
sections with a description of each. At the bottom are awards, polls, and other
things.

The page has a pretty good
layout. If it wants to be more sucessful, it will have to advance its layout.
Page Content
Due to the lack of variety of
material on this page, it would be much better for me to put everything in the review in
one section. I am not saying that there is nothing on this page, but not
enough to have seperate sections.
- Bootlegs - Described be the author as "..a small, but
growing list of the Nirvana bootlegs I own." You will also find prices and
rules for trading. Nothing spectacular at the moment.
Biography of Kurt - Broken link.
Kurt's Death - Broken link.
- Tabs - The only section that works under here is the Guitar
tabs section. The other two, the bass and drums sections, are not working.
Also, the image for the sections is not available, either. In the guitar
section you will find the tabs divided up by albums.
- Links - The only things that this section has is the HTML code
for the site banner, and a link to Grunger's Corner.
- Webrings - Described by the author as "..a list of
webrings I'm in." Not a whole lot here, but it does show off good webrings.
Conclusion
A pretty small, small site. It seems like the site has
been up long enough to have more content than this. Hopefully, in all sincerity, it
will improve. There's not much more to say...
