Internet Explorer nailed the other browsers
with this page. The page is correct when it says it is optimized for Internet
Explorer. Netscape, for some mysterious reason, had a rather difficult time
downloading the page.

Disclaimer:
The connection test was done on a 56k Winmodem connected at 38.6k bps. Remember
download times will vary depending on your modem speed, browser, server of the page,
telephone line activity, and your internet service provide (ISP). This will not
guarantee that the page will download at the same rate on your computer as it does mine,
this is just an estimate.
Graphics
What does the graphics have to do with the
download time? Quite a bit. The html script that is on the page is built for
Internet Explorer, especially when the links highlight -- which you only get for IE and
Neoplanet depending on the code.

The layout on this page is pretty good.
The page seems to be a big fan of tables, and it uses them quite well. Under
the main logo of the page are two split sections. On the right is a picture which
changes each time you reload the page. To the left are the sections. I only
have one suggestion, and that is to add more shape to the page. The page seems to be
so "square." Don't be afraid to add some shape to your page.
Otherwise, the layout is excellent.
The Page
This page mainly focuses on information, not multimedia.
There may be a few multimedia sections, however.
- News - This is, in my opinion, probably the best thing that
this page offers. It offers a quote of the month, links to other news sources, news
you can't even find at the Nirvana Club. It also includes an editorial. This
section is an excellent source for news.
- Biography - A very good biography in this section, includes
good pictures and information. I am not sure if this is self-written by the author,
but it offers something nevertheless.
- Nirvana For Dummies - Simple questions, simple answers.
Katey does a good job with this FAQ. One, it looks like a web page, not
something that was typed on a type writer, and secondly it answers a lot of questions for
those who have recently converted to Nirvana's music.
- Images - The only section that does not work in the image is
the gallery -- which is under construction. However you can view the thumbnails,
which download rather fast because of the degraded quality. A total of 100 pictures.
- Articles - Divided up into three sections: interviews, liner
notes, and other. The interviews link does not work. The liner notes is pretty
self-exclamatory, the other section has Sub Pop's biography for Nirvana, meanings of In
Utero symbols, the story of The Priest They Called Him, Courtney reading the
note, as well as the 8 fragments of Kurt.
- 101 Useless Facts - Probably the second best section on the
page, giving you 101 facts that, even if you didn't know them, you still would be able to
go to bed at night.
- Quizzes - A few quizzes to test your Nirvana knowledge.
The first section is under construction. However the quotes and the trivial
journey do work.
- Lyrics - Divided up into 4 different sections: albums, rare
songs, songs by title, and you can also download (Zip format) the lyrics, too. This
is probably one of the best lyric section I've seen in quite a while.
- Links - Has links to Nivana sites and the Breed webring.
Conclusion
Wow..this page has improved since it's last review over two
months ago. The author deserves a decent amount of credit for a job well done.
This site offers one of the best information for Nirvana on the internet today.
This is a site I strongly recommend visiting, even if you
have the time or not.
