» CHAPTER ONE: THE AIRPORT «

“Ouch,” Allison cried as she hit her head on the roof of Valerie’s parents' van.

“Watch yourself, here let me help you with your bags” said Valerie.

“I never thought that I would be going down to Florida with you!” said Allison handing Valerie her bags.

“Ahhh, I know,” screamed Valerie.

“So when are we going to look for the Backstreet Boys?” asked Allison trying not to sound as excited as she really was.

“As soon as we get there!” replied Valerie.

“Oh gosh, let’s go find the Backdoor Boys so we can go sing; dance; play games, and have lots of fun!” replied Valerie’s brother Eric who was imitating Valerie and Allison.

“Eric, get a life!” yelled Valerie, trying to defend the boys. Eric never liked the Backstreet Boys, well if he did, he never would admit to it! He loved making fun of them just to bug Valerie and Allison and he did a very good job of it too.

“Mom how much longer is it till we are at the airport?” asked Valerie.

“Umm, about 45 minutes, so calm down,” said Valerie’s mom.

“Ok,” replied Valerie and Allison smiling at each other.

“So did you tell your mom that we have an interview with The Firm?” asked Allison as she was putting on her makeup in the bathroom at the airport.

“No, I was afraid to tell her that we are meeting with the Backstreet Boys' managers, she might freak out or get me even more nervous than I already am!” said Valerie, sounding a little worried.

“When are we going to meet them?”

“2pm on Monday at the front of our condo”

“I can’t believe it!!!! We might actually get a record deal!!!”

“I know! When I sent them our demo tape they said that we were awesome and that they wanted to meet us ASAP!!! That was only one week ago!” Valerie replied.

“They had really good timing didn’t they!?” said Allison.

“Well, we better leave now, I think that our plane is here” said Valerie who was putting on her last bit of lipstick.

“Here we go!!!” screamed the two as they boarded the plane.
