» CHAPTER FIVE: THE BLACK VELVET BED «

“Man, you don’t have any food in here,” said Nick, sticking his head in the refridgerator.

“That’s why we went to McDonalds!” said AJ, frustrated by how dumb Nick could act sometimes. “Why don’t you look through the phone book and order some pizza from Pizza Hut or something!?”

“O.K., Allison, what do you like on your pizza?” Nick asked.

“Anything that you like!” said Allison with a smile.

“Great,” said Nick. He could bearly control himself, that smile that Allison gave him made his knees feel kinda weak. He wished that AJ would leave them alone for a while.

“I’m going to take Valerie upstairs to my room and put a washcloth on her head, she feels kinda warm. I think that I will stay there until she wakes up, I don’t want her waking up and not knowing where she is” said AJ, carrying Valerie up the steps.

“O. K.,” Nick said with a smile, he was glad that his wish came true. “Yeah, I would like two large pizzas, one with pepperoni and sausage and the other with Canadian bacon and pineapple. O.K., thanks.” Nick hung up the phone. “So, what do you want to do till the pizza comes?” Nick asked Allison.

“Why don’t you show me around this place?” said Allison.

“Oh, yeah, I guess that I should,” said Nick, leading Allison out of the kitchen.

AJ laid Valerie down on his black velvet bed, then he walked into his bathroom and wet down a washcloth. He walked over to the bed and sat down next to Valerie. Carefully he put the washcloth on her head then clicked on the TV.  “There’s never anything good on TV anymore,” he said out loud, as if someone was there.

He turned off the TV and got out his CD’s. There were so many to choose from; everything from KoRn to Mozart. He looked through the CD’s and picked out, Boys 2 Men. He always loved their music, it soothed him. He sat back down on the bed and got out his Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Addition (Author's Note: Which was another thing that soothed him!). He heard Nick and Allison talking right outside his door. They came inside laughing like there was a comedian outside his door.

“SSHH!” said AJ. “You guys might wake her up, I think that she would like to see my face when she first wakes up, not yours Nick!” AJ snapped.

“Getting a little offensive there, uh,” said Nick, trying hard not to laugh.

“Anyways, did you order the pizza Nickypoo?” said AJ with a little laugh.

“Well, you hot stud, yes I did,” said Nick jokingly.

“OK, you two are scaring me!” said Allison who was cracking up.

Ding-Dong, the door bell rang.

“I’ll get it! Come on Allison!” Nick grabbed Allison’s hand and dragged her out of the room just as Valerie woke up.
