Bodrum
Bodrum is one interesting place. For one, all the houses are squarish with flat roofs, painted white and no more than 3 storeys. This was a rule for the houses in Bodrum and it gave this city a distinctive look. Another detail which not many may know is that this city used to house one of the 7 wonders of the Ancient World, the Mausoleum of Halicarnassos. The mausoleum is no longer in existence, although it is said that there is a replica at the museum in Berlin, Germany.

Scenes from the city of BodrumWe had a wonderful dinner at the hotel, serenaded by the band consisting of a classical guitarist and percussionist. Later, we visited the city which remained open until pretty late. According to our guide, Bodrum is the party capital of Turkey and has tons of nightclubs everywhere...if we know where to look. Well, we didn't visit any nightclubs here.
The next morning, we visited the Bodrum Castle which consists of many archaeological remains from the sea before heading towards Pammukale.
