Signal
A-S Signal (& Chibi Signal)
height: 178 cm
weight: 63 Kg
age: 16
body: [extremely complicated techno jargon-- I'll try and translate
soon] made from MIRA
Signal is a robot who is programmed to be a big brother to
Nobuhiko. A bug got into his programming when they were making
his personality. Signal's body reacts to Nobuhiko's sneezes and
transforms. He's gentle, excitable, but a little foolish.
His hair takes in sunlight and changes it to energy.
CHIBI SIGNAL
height: 30 cm
weight: ??kg
age: 3 years
Signal after transformation. Likes chocolate and is mischievous.
Signal is the robot that the series Twin Signal is based on.
He's a strong 16 year old-looking boy with hair that reaches past
his feet. He's impulsive and cocky, as well. Basically, a normal
teen-aged boy!
He's made of MIRA, which is either the metal he's made of, or
the program, or both (the OAV says that MIRA is an alloy that the professor
created which is strong and flexible and makes his movements more human-like)
. A bug came in his program, when
Professor Shinnosuke was programming his personality. Nobuhiko was in
the room, and he sneezed. The sneeze makes Signal turn into
the adorable hair-ball, Chibi Signal. Chibi's always getting into
trouble. Like once, when Pulse fell asleep, Chibi drew over his face.
But they couldn't get the ink off! When he eats too much chocolate,
his system seems to get too much energy, and he becomes drunk.
When Chibi turns back into Signal, Signal seems to never have
any idea what Chibi has been doing. But he obviously knows it
happens to him.
Signal has a crush on the pretty robot Elara. He has a great
sense of honour, and a flair for being overdramatic. One
interesting note,
when Signal 'powers-up' in OAV3 to protect Nobuhiko,
we noticed that his suit turned blue. Ok. It's an
obvious fact. Red to blue is quite in your face.
But it took our buddy Setsuna to point out that his hair
also turns colour!! It goes from blue to pale purple!
Haruka and I were stunned. She's also the one who
noticed Karma's hair colour (see Opening
Blues for details) is wrong.
(Thanks to Sue and Mitsuko for translating lots of this info for us. The stats come from the Drama cd.)
