He was born near Shampoo's amazon village in China, Mousse was soundly defeated in singe combat by the young amazon at the tender age of three. By reason of his defeat, according to Amazon tribal law, Mousse has no chance of marrying Shampoo. She has to marry the man who defeats her in combat.
Again and again, Shampoo rejected Mousse, besides the fact that his martial arts skills were formidable ,indeed. Once he had learned that Shampoo had traveled to Japan, so he pursued her. After finding her, and learning whom she had chosen to marry, he challenged Ranma to a duel for Shampoo's love. Ranma, he was a girl at the time, defeated Mousse when Kodachi (an rhythmic gymnastics nut) accidentally crushed his glasses.
After he was defeated, Mousse went back to China. At China, he stumbled (literally) across Jusenkyou. He blindly fell into the spring of drowned duck. After that He went back to Japan, threatening briefly to pour some water from the spring on Akane.
He now works as a bus boy and waiter at Nekohanten, in hopes of winning Shampoo's love in spite of her grandmother, Cologne and Shampoo's infatuation for Ranma.
