This is it! This is the place you want to be for information about where we work and play. It's intended to be a guide to some not-so-well-known sites and things-to-do in and around Kanagawa Prefecture.

ENOSHIMA
Our first destination is Enoshima. Located directly south of Tsuruma, Enoshima is a very popular beach resort. Tourists and locals alike flock to these shores year round. On nearly any given day, you can see surfers tackling giant waves nearly 3 feet high! On the island itself, are many restaurants and shops to buy souvenirs of all types. This is a frequent day trip of ours, so watch for seasonal updates! This was a nice quiet Wednesday afternoon in December, so we were able to get some decent pictures without too many interruptions.
Move your mouse over the image map and click on a hot spot to be magically transported to a different part of this page, another part of this site, or a surprise destination on the Internet itself! Just don't forget to come back and finish the tour. |

Katase-Enoshima Station is the last stop on the Odakyu Enoshima train line. It is a very different looking station from any other you will encounter along the Odakyu Line in that it was designed to have a Chinese look about it. |
Once you leave the station, you can proceed straight toward a bridge that crosses this small canal. Just on the other side of the bridge to your right is the Tourist Information Center. Area maps and information about current events can always be found here. |

This beach is one of the most popular beaches in Japanperhaps even the world. Surfers and other water sport enthusiasts flock here year round. It has been called the Miami Beach of the East. Of course, you would never know it from this shot. |
Heading out to the island itself, we captured this nice shot of Enoshima from the footbridge. As you can see, there is also a motor path. Parking is limited (and expensive) so we highly recommend the short walk. |

Sagami Bay surrounds the island. |
The Enoshima Yacht Club. Since these shots were taken in December, there isn't much activity at the moment. Come summer, though, this place will be jumping. |
|
These photos were all taken December 11, 2002. There is so much more to see and do here than we have presented but rest assured we will be back. We do hope to return soon, but those bikini shots will be awhilesorry! |
