FAYE WONG-NEWSJune 6 Faye is recording songs for her new cd to be released around September!!!Faye will still use Dou Wei and his band despite their relationship.Faye said that her personal matters won't interfere with her music.The songs to be plugged are the theme songs from the Pepsi commercial which she will start shooting this month. May 19 Faye was awarded by MTV Asia for the Best HK Female Singer Award(香港最佳女歌手). Faye's Malaysia Scenic Tour concert will be held soon.It will be held on the 21st of August at Bukit Jalil Indoor Stadium.Tickets go on sale July 7 but you can start ordering them now by clicking here!A song list from Faye's upcoming Scenic Tour concert live recording CD is now available.The cd is rumoured to be released possibly by June or July. Part 1 Part 2 April 21 Faye will take part in a new movie by Wong Kar Wai(王家衛) called "2046".Faye will be teamed up with Takuya Kimura(木村拓哉) while Tony Leung(梁朝偉) will be paired with his girlfriend Carina Lau(劉嘉玲).The movie which will be filming in October is a sci-fi film with the two pairs acting as secret agents fighting for "Mission 2046". Faye will be one of the presenters in the HK Movie Gold Statue Award Ceremony which commences on the 24st of April. March 30 Faye got nominated in the 10th Golden Song Awards 金曲獎 for the best female artist and best album producer (with Alvin Leong for her cd "Sing and Play").The award will be held on the 30th of April in Taiwan.Good luck to Faye! March 28 Faye made it into the list of 12 songs in the TVB JSG 1st Seasonal Awards Presentation '99.She got in with her song Repayment 償還. March 14(continued) During Faye's last night in Japan, she and her crew members went to have Japanese hotpot as celebration.It was all paid by the concert organiser. After she started drinking some red wine, she went into a childish mood and started to play very freely.She got very high and even hugged and kissed Foon Jeh 寬姐.Other weird things she did were putting her wine cup on her hat and lying down on a table.Her husband Dou Wei however was quietly sitting aside her.When reporters asked if they could both take a picture together, she smiled and refused saying that she hasn't drank yet! After leaving, they then went to a disco to celebrate further. Katie said that Faye would go directly to Hong Kong to start work on her new album.She will also be working on her Pepsi commercial and a new movie. March 14 Faye finished her the last of her two concerts in Japan on March 12 at the Tokyo Budokkan.It was a success and was received well by both the Japanese and Chinese audiences.It also received good words by the media and public.Also one of the good points about the concert were the famous stars who attended it.Takuya Kimura,Takenouchi Yutaka,Noriko Sakai and Leslie Cheung were all there at the concert.Takuya gave a flower basket to Faye to wish her good luck even though they have never met each other in person.Noriko also gave her an oversized piece of clothing with goldfish patterns on it. March 12 Faye performed the first of her two concerts in Japan on the 11th of March at the Tokyo Budokkan.The stadium was packed to its capacity of 10000 people!The price of the tickets were as little as 7500 yuan but as much as 8500 yuan.This is about $488 to $553 Hong Kong dollars.The concert attracted Japanese stars like Noriko Sakai and more were coming tomorrow like Leslie Cheung.During the whole concert, Faye was in a good mood and all the fans were enjoying it.Before leaving, Faye spoke in Japanese.
