Episodes Series 2
Series 1 - Series 2 - Series 3
What Goes Up...
The team tackle
threats to a mission to scan for some mineral (I forget what
exactly) from space, and Ed goes undercover. When Beckett and Ros
go elsewhere to investigate power cells for the shuttle, they are
attacked - someone doesn't like interference. When an accident
wipes out the shuttle crew, only two are left, and one of them is
Ed - who is forced to go into space.
Before the launch, Beckett and Ros discover that the shuttle is
leaking fuel - but all the communication lines to the site are
cut so they have to find an alternative way of reaching Ed. Ros
climbs a microwave dish tower (courtesy of the Hive) and Beckett
goes direct to the site, and is electrocuted and stopped by
someone in league with Bad Guy.
They fail to stop the launch, and an accident up in space cuts
the power to the shuttle, and leaves Ed and the other crew member
(female!) unconscious and stranded... to be continued.
...Must Come Down
The conclusion of
above (good name huh?) Ed tries to fix the shuttle, while Ros and
Beckett try to do the same from the ground, also trying to
discover who wants the mission to fail and stop them.
Bugged Wheat
Almost a first! An
episode were the threat is wholly biological (it was Genetically
engineered though..). A evil group of bad guys decide to create
famine by using some super bugs carrying a bug virus, and Ed has
to overcome his fear of insects, Beckett a fear of heights, and
Ros a fear of... well, nevermind, she's not scared of anything
(this series at least!).
Whirling Dervish
Something about
some evil dudes trying to put out of business another aeroplane
company, and I'm sure this was the episode with the brain
machine, which can input knowledge directly to someone's mind.
Beckett given a mental copy of a romance novel, Ed is given
reading knowledge of a strange language, and Ros is left out. Ed
is 'hired' to fly a super jet, Beckett and a woman are
electrocuted (twice in 1 series! Wow..) and tied to a bomb. Ros
has to save the men (typical!).
Blackout
A power station is threatened, while Ros is
touring it. Er.. I did watch this one... didn't take very good
notes tho'.
Goldrush
A strange gold
eating virus is unleashed on a bank as an attempt to wipe out
Eastern currencies. Ed is trapped in a vault under attack from
lasers... another ep I can't really remember. This whole series
seems like a blur now...
Shrodingers Bomb
I think this ep
was to do with bombs that didn't make a noise, and some strange
archelogical artifacts being traded.
Newton's Run
A dog with spinal
implants can be remote controled from anywhere, and is under
target from some dog-knappers. Beckett takes the dog for a walk
(to protect it no doubt), and the poor doggy ends up being used
to bypass some high secruity doors in order to stop a bomb.
The Bureau Of Weapons
The members of the
Bureau of weapons are found comatose, and Roland Blatty asks for
the Gizmos Team's help. They find out that a computer virus
called Cyberax is being unleashed, and it can infect humans using
a neural interface (I think that's what it was called) and if you
find out about being infected, the virus drives you to kill
yourself. When bodies start to disappear, Beckett fakes being
infected to find out where they are being taken, and ends up
being Jean-Daniel's (JD just escaped/got let out) hostage. When
Cyberax is unleashed on a particle accelerator, a potiental bomb
is created. Ros arrives at the site, and finds that she hasn't
got time to untie Beckett before the bomb detonates, and so she
uses the Neural Interface on herself, stopping the accelerator,
but infecting herself with Cyberax.
A Cage For Satan
The conclusion to
above, Beckett and Ed try to erase every record of Cyberax to
save Ros from herself, but she begins to get suspicous, and
leaves them believing they are conspiring against her. She goes
to a new futuristic city (Cyberax run), and Ed and Beckett find
themselves racing to save her. While Beckett tries to stop
Cyberax, Ed tells Ros not to think about Pink Elephants :). Ed
finds out the only way to stop Cyberax from killing anyone
infected is to 'reboot' them...
