MUSINGS OF A PIPE SMOKING MAN: In a darkened warehouse, the Pipe
Smoking Man sets up a sniper's nest and aims at the offices of the Tone Deaf
Swordsmen, who are recounting the story of his life to Sculder and Mully after Clyde
has found everything out about him.
In 1963 we see him accept a dangerous mission
to kill a man during the President's visit to Dallas, which ends up as a bungled hit on
the President himself. The young soldier muses on his failure and picks up a pipe left
at the scene to become the Pipe Smoking Man. The Pipe Smoking Man looks to be
fired from the Government for his failure until he is approached by the Nicely Waxed
Man, who offers him a job in an organisation who work alongside the Men In Black
in New York.
30 years later, we see him handle the covering up of a UFO crash and
his first dealings with a troublesome FBI Agent called Foxy Sculder. First he chooses
him a sceptical partner and then takes control of their boss, Spinner. However, he has
an ambition to fulfil. He is writing a story of all his experiences in his life including
the secrets of the organisation he works for. However, nobody will buy it because it is
too far-fetched.
When his dream finally comes true and a TV executive plans to make
a prime time TV series out of his story, he smokes his last pipe and drafts his
resignation from the Posh Club. But one viewing of the show, called 'The X-Files', is
enough to make him see that he is not the star and it has been re-written. Dejected he
muses on how life is a box of chocolates for its unfairness...
Back in the present,
Clyde leaves the meeting and the Pipe Smoking Man fires....only to find out that his
gun doesn't work.
FROM RUSSIA WITH HATE Part 1 of 2: Sculder and Mully are
called by an anonymous source who promises information about The Project. They
meet Marita Unablonder, employee of the United Nations and possible source. She
reveals that Alec Bicep, the rogue agent who escaped the Posh Club last year, has
reappeared. Sculder immediately
goes to find him, hoping to recover the DAT containing the Exodus File. However, soon hee's
not the only one looking for Bicep...
Bicep contacts the Nicely Waxed Man, offering the
DAT in
exchange for information about how to cure an alien virus. The Posh Club dispatches
the Pipe Smoking Man
to neutralise the threat but then decides to arrange a meeting. The Posh Club meet
Bicep, who is accompanied by Sculder who hopes to find the truth. Instead of which
he discovers that Bicep is working for the Russians and Marita is working for the
Posh Club.
Bicep escapes the meeting with his life and half of the virus, the Nicely
Waxed Man gives Sculder the other half and tells him that both halves could cure
Mully's cancer. Bicep heads back to Russia with his prize, with Sculder in pursuit,
only to be captured by Marita, who has betrayed the Posh Club to work with
Bicep....
TUNGAGA Part 2 of 2: Sculder has been captured and placed in a
gulag in Tungaga, Russia where he is infected with the alien virus, and a newly
developed Russian vaccine. Meanwhile, Mully must face a Senate Sub Committee set
up by
the Posh Club to put both the agents in prison. Sculder escapes the gulag and captures
Bicep, but fails to kill the rogue agent. Instead, he leaves him with the nearby
townspeople who have an intelligent way of avoiding injections...by cutting off arms.
Sculder races back to the USA with both halves of the virus, certain that it will cure
Mully. He gives them to Agent Pedro so he can work on developing the cure whilst he
faces the committee with Mully. Spinner informs them that Marita Unablonder has
re-entered the USA with a companion. Believing it to be Bicep, Sculder travels to
New York whilst Mully goes to get the cure from the FBI lab. Pedro, however, has
been murdered by the Pipe Smoking Man who steals the cure back once again.
Sculder
finds Bicep, but fails to get the DAT because the Nicely Waxed Man makes Bicep an
offer he can't refuse.... The Posh Club is victorious, having recovered the DAT, the
virus and news of the Russian vaccine. Their only failure are their attempts to
prosecute Sculder and Mully, who escape the committee. Bicep is now working for
the Posh Club again, but Marita's new alliance is as yet unknown...
GOLGOTHA Part 1 of 3: Intent on finding proof for the events of
'Tungaga', Sculder rushes off to Canada where he has received word that an alien
corpse has been found frozen inside an ice cave. However, a shotgun wielding Posh
Club representative gets there first and murders most of the excavating team. Two
doctors, Paranoid and Black have survived and with Sculder they travel back to the
US.
Meanwhile, Mully's condition is getting worse. After a visit form her brother and
priest, she goes into hospital where her blood is stolen by Dr. Llewellyn, the man who
tired to kill her in 'Black Death.' She arrests him but he reveals to her, and then to
Sculder, the extent of
the conspiracy which is that their work is a hoax and Mully's cancer was a part of
ensuring the hoax would succeed.
Sculder refuses to believe, but when
he goes back to the alien autopsy he finds the body gone and both doctors dead. He
argues with Mully and can't accept that he has been living a lie. 24 hours later, Mully
reports to an FBI panel stating in invalidity of the Hex Files and informing them that
Sculder committed suicide the night before...
