Look at Jayne Brook walking and you can't help but notice those legs - - all ten of them. Jayne's four legged companions, Bob a golden retriever, and Alice, a Rhodesian Ridgback, deserve partial credit for keeping Brook's 5'8", 125 pound figure in the kind of shape Dr. Diane Grad, her character on the hit drama Chicago Hope, would approve of.

Walking is priority no. 1 for the threesome on most mornings, says Brook, who's in her early 30's. "If I start to do something around the house, they'll just come up to me like, 'this is our walk time. What are you doing?'"

In addition to the daily 45-minute workouts with her dogs, Brook's perscription for good health includes a red-meat-free diet, breathing meditations, Pilates classes three times a week, and a well-adjusted attitude about success in Hollywood. "I grew up in a big family (three brothers and two sisters), so you really couldn't go, 'it's about me,' which is sometimes a problem for me as an actress. But I'll probably be a happier person this way- and maybe those around me will be happier, too."
