Here are some of the comments we received from the voters:
(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?)Because she and Harm had the best chemistry and she was brilliant, IMHO. Also I felt she was a great partner to Harm. (from-email) sitara@mbox2.singnet.com.sg
(Partner) Sarah MacKenzie
(Best?) She is his equal, not his subordinate, which allows her to put him in his place very effectively.
(from-email) germainia@aol.com
(Partner) Sarah MacKenzie
(Best?) She's tough, professional and definitely the first woman who really forces Harm to keep himself in line. We also know that she is sensitive (remember in Heroes when she was so hurt that Harm sandbagged her in court?) And sexy--who can forget that dress from "Washington Holiday"? All in all, she is a totally believable female officer!!!
(from-email) tamles@ziplink.net
(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?) She's not Mac! Frankly just a Tracey Needham fan!
(from-email) sibella@inav.net
(Partner) Sarah MacKenzie
(Best?) Mac posesses an air of self-assurance and strength that Harm's former partners lack. Also the fact that she is his equal and not a subordinant allows her to be more ingaging with him. Mac puts him in his place and he's not as cocky as he was in the first season. Favorite episodes 'Full Engagement' 'Game of Go' 'Heroes' 'Trinity' Favorite Scene with Harm: 'Full Engagement'- Scene towards the end where they stop by the stream. Before they get shot at (again :) )

(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?) The sparks she and Harm share!! The best analogy I've heard for their romance is Perry Mason & Della Street--you *know* it's there, even though they don't really talk about it much. Plus, Meg is spunky, but also has a softness to her that neither of the other two quite had. My 2 cents.
(from-email) tpeck@epix.net
(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?)because she was the nicest... i just like her (good acctress)
(from-email) b.gerhard@ndh.net
(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?) great cooperative chemistry
(from-email) demomail@hotmail.com
(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?) Her great sense of humor. The way she always covers Harm's butt for him. How she never gets thrown for a loop by Harm's spur-of-the-moment, we're-wining-it-here plans. The fact that she's a Texan and so am I. Pick one.
(from-email) kavinju@wans.net
(Partner) Sarah MacKenzie
(Best?)I like Mac the best, though I like Meg as well - it's very close - but Sarah MacKenzie is actually a Scots name, not an Irish one ("Mac's" are usually Scottish, 'Mc's' are Irish
(from-email) pdmcg@esinet.net
(Partner) Sarah MacKenzie
(Best?) She doesn't let Harm get a way with as much stuff as the other did.
(from-email) FleaKu@dixie-net.com
(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?) There's much more sexual tension between Meg and Harm and it makes the show more interesting.
(from-email) gould24@pcug.org.au
(Partner) Sarah MacKenzie
(Best?) She's tough, but fair and she keeps his ego in line!!
(from-email) maeve_aislinn@hotmail.com
(Partner) Sarah MacKenzie
(Best?)Mac is by far the best! She's of equal rank as Harm, she doesn't constantly flirt with him (although she almost kissed him that one time), and she held him at gunpoint. She also seems to have the most depth of character, and has shown the most potential for character growth.
(from-email) Volante9@aol.com
(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?)Tracey's the best. She brings so much warmth and smartness to her character, that I almost stopped watching JAG when the new season started. Luckily, Tracey has landed on Total Security this fall, where she will definitely be an asset to that show.
(from-email) wvh@tso.cin.ix.net
(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?)While I am certain LT Pike was capable, I have seen more interaction between Harm and Meg which I felt intriguing. Much like Mulder and Scully, they can often communicate without using words Harm is almost as protective of Meg as Mulder is of Scully. And, like Scully, Meg is sure of herself -- she knows where she's going and what she's doing. MAJ MacKenzie, while posessing that same sense of direction, seems to be a little *too* stiff. Granted, she's a *Marine*... but the chemistry onscreen just isn't there. A smile, a grin, a glance...it doesn't come through as warmly as it did with Meg. In fact, to me, the whole Meg/Harm relationship is much akin to another prime time relationship between lawyer and assistant over forty years old: Perry Mason and Della Street. Through their own silent language, they also managed to communicate without words -- and still leave the viewers wondering , "Are they or aren't they?"
"We used to have a great deal of fun," Barbara Hale ("Della Street") once said, concerning the meaningful glances she and co-star, Raymond Burr ("Perry Mason") used to sneak in. The camera, in return, seemed to grab those silent communications and broadcast them so that even as a child, I noted them.
One can only guess that Tracey Needham and David James Elliot had as much fun sneaking those glances in before the camera. And, just as once happened with Ms. Hale and Mr. Burr, the camera is nourishing those looks which, in turn, seem to nuture the imagination!

(Partner) Kate Pike
(Best?) Harm and Kate together had the most spark. She is also the best actress
of the three.
(from-email) cynja@compuserve.com
(Partner) Sarah MacKenzie
(Best?)Mac has a spark to her - she doesn't let Harm get away with that
macho-hotshot-pilot nonsense. At the same time, she is very brave and loyal
and always there for him when it really counts.
(from-email) mcm@gsmbsoft.com
(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?)Meg and Harm have wonderful chemistry together...by far the best looking
couple.
(from-email) Barrk@aol.com
(Partner) Sarah MacKenzie
(Best?) I never saw Kate Pike, but of Mac and Meg, I though Mac was the stronger
character. Anything else remains to be see.
(from-email) Sarah1024@aol.com
(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?) What makes Meg Austin the best partner for Harm is that TN and DJE
have good chemistry off the screen which means that onscreen they are great
together. Although Meg often doesn't get the credit she deserves, and never
gets to be the hero - their partnership is one of the best that I've seen
in years. My favourite scene would have to be the one from "The Brotherhood"
where Harm breaks into PFC Hanson's locker and they start talking about gang
signs, hook-em horns, being cuckolded, etc. I still claim Meg should have
replied to Harm saying, "Cause, you know, if you date one pilot..." with
something better than what she did. But great chemistry between them there.
(from-email) T.Y.Rzhanova@hw.ac.uk
(Partner) Sarah MacKenzie
(Best?) She is savy, sassy and smart. She won't hesitate to go toe to toe
with Harm when she thinks he's in the wrong and she doesn't put up with any
cr*p from him either. She also is not swept off the feet by her partner's
charm. She is the most realistic of his partners, IMHO.
(from-email) smohr@ix.netcom.com
(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?)I like her the best because of her willingness to stand up to to Harm
and any other man in the military. At the same time, she is extremely loyal
and supportive of Harm. In return he is the same. They seem to balance each
other. Beside you would have to be blind to not see the chemistry between
them
(from-email) SonjaRia@aol.com
Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?) She respects Harmon's opinion, but still stands for her own opinion.
(from-email) huang@sun.uchc.edu
Partner) Kate Pike
(Best?) She's sexier, tougher-has more "street smarts". She's more confidently
Harm's equal (personally) than Meg or Mac. I enjoyed Andrea Parker's acting
more, she seemed very comfortable with the role. Harm and Kate had good
chemistry.
(from-email) bpville@aol.com
(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?) Strong but yet feminine
(from-email) choylin@hem.passagen.se
(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?) I like Meg because she does not come off tough. Meg and Harm just
were good together.
(from-email) KIDIN@ncats.net
(Partner) Sarah MacKenzie
(Best?) I think she is the best because she is tough and helps out Harm in
gunfights. I also like how she can tell time without a watch.
(from-email) Raven424@aol.com
(subject) JAG Partner Poll
(Partner) Kate Pike
(Best?) The sexual tension between them... plus she's Meg's cousin and a
hell of a officer!
(from-email) CFrenzel@hotmail.com
Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?) She seemed to be the most light-hearted of the three. She had a great
sense of humor and being the junior officer didn't stop her from talking
back when she felt like it.
(from-email) gliddenr@delamar.lib.dixie.edu
(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?)Smartest and best looking
(from-email) none
(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?) EVERYTHING!!!!!
(from-email) mnowic@sgh.waw.pl
(Partner) Sarah MacKenzie
(Best?)Mac stands up to him and is his intellectual equal, plus she's feisty
and ultra fit. The tension between them just makes me keep on waiting for
the BIG passion - but it won't happen.
Roseanne
(from-email) jrbyrne@macquarie.matra.com.au
(Partner) Sarah MacKenzie
(Best?) Mac has a strong sense of character, which I think is very imprtant
thing. :)
(from-email) drd@idsonline.com
Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?) the chemistry between them.
(from-email) mefrater@magna.com.au
(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?) Harm and Meg connect very well. They don't always share the same
ideas, but there's a certain chemistry on screen that can be seen. Furthermore
the they both understand each other.
(from-email) azrulk@pc.jaring.my
(Partner) Sarah MacKenzie
(Best?) She is very cool and Harm could count on her to do anything and Harm
knows that if anything were to crop up in his case he could count on Mac
to help him....What makes her outstanding is that she is a MAJOR unlike that
rest....Mac is not dependant on HArm unlike the other two and thus they could
co-operate really well by communicating on both sides...
(from-email) apcay@pacific.net.sg
(Partner) Sarah MacKenzie
(Best?) Because they are of equal rank (although in 2 different branches
of the US Military---Navy), writers can give Mac the stronger character they
were never able to give Meg with Harm as her commanding officer.
(from-email) jennifer.ukerits@voyager.umeres.maine.edu
(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?) She's just too hot!!!!
(from-email) anson99@concentric.net
(subject) JAG Partner Poll
(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?) She played a more challenging mental opponent, and added a bit of
sexual tension between her and Rab, without crossing the line of work ethics.
It made them work better together.
(from-email) jmbuford@fau.campus.mci.net
(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?) SEXY!!!!!!!!!!
(from-email) barna@inter.net.il
(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?) Because she is the most beautiful, she is funny and Harm really liked
her. She has to be his girlfriend in JAG.
(from-email) devechi@ibm.net
(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?) she is very good looking and she is a very good actor, she makes it
fun to watch. The show is stupid now.
(from-email) mani04@bohr.hny.dk
(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?) She is smart, knowledgeable, helpful, and willing to be in the action.
They also get along famously together, and their personalities complement
each other. They also are very humerous at times together, while still being
serious most of the time.
(from-email) falcon16@oocities.com
(Partner) Kate Pike
(Best?) Chemistry with Harm Her ability to hold her own on the legal issues
and evidence. (Meg didn't - though that may be due to rank Mac sees the law
as a competition rather than as teamwork) (yes, this is a female lawyer talking)
(from-email) stanglin@us.ibm.com
(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?) Because she is very, very cool, sweet, sensitive, and yet she doesn't
mind saying things that (might) annoy Harm. Mac seems too superficial, I
mean "I'm never more than 30 seconds off," come on! I mean, I think that's
cool and maybe possible, but that's a little heavy for her. But I really
like Mac, nonetheless. Just I like Meg better. Also, Kate Pike versus Meg
was incredibly (not really) difficult. I really liked Kate too. (Is it Caitlin
or Kate?) (from-email) KristanLH@aol.com
(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?) more sharpness and i love blondes (from-email) toddynho@mandic.com.br
(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?) her chemistry with Harm (from-email) etoile7@pacific.net.sg
(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?) She is the perfect counterpart for him. They work well together and
she has a better attitude.
(from-email) ps049@cvip.csufresno.edu
(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?) I like the relationship she had with Harm (from-email)
kassie_fournier@hp.com
(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?) Meg is better because she is nicer and much more personalble than
any of the other characters that harm was paired up with . (from-email)
rhzst1@pitt.edu
(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?)she was more human and not as harsh.. (from-email) mercrash
(Partner) Sarah MacKenzie
(Best?)Mac is best because she's real. She stands up to Harm and doesn't
fall for his flyboyish ways. She stands firm for what she beleives. Harm
and Mac sort-of level eachother out.
They have a unique comradeship that Harm didn't have with his other partners.
Mac's good for Harm because he always has to be careful of what he says(so
that he doesn't hurt or offend her and Harm's good for Mac because she's
laerning to trust people.
(Partner) Sarah MacKenzie
(Best?) She has the guts to stand up to Harm and also has the intelligence
to make their relationship work. She is on the same level with him (ie they
are both officers so there is no more saluting). Her fiesty ways and her
dark background make her a much more interresting and strong person than
Meg who appeared to be a bit timid.
(from-email) tbstulib@twb.catholic.edu.au
(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?)Meg is the best because there was so much tenson between them and
You couyld tell that they both wanted something to go on. She is also the
prettiest and the sweetest. In my opinon any way. (from-email)
sheffler@melsa.net.id
(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?) She has much more personality than Mac. Mac is very hard and cold.
She has very little chemistry with Harm. Meg was very cute and she had great
chemistry with Harm. She was much easier to like.
(from-email) KeaneDa@BC.edu
(Partner) Sarah MacKenzie
(Best?) independence, spunk, intelligence not just another pretty face
(from-email) jmarfink@swva.net
(Partner) Sarah MacKenzie
(Best?) she's a perfect match for Harm, pretty, dark, smart, witty and
professional.
(from-email) DOlsen8022@AOL
(Partner) Sarah MacKenzie
(Best?) Harm's flashback in "We the People" gives you the impression that
if she looks like Diane, maybe she's a lot more like Diane than that. It
could lead to an interesting relationship in the not-too-distant future.
I didn't see much of the first season, but Mac always seems a lot more open
to Harm than Meg did whenever she's in distress. Unlike Meg, and even Kate
in the few episodes she's been in, Mac isn't always subliminally teasing
Harm about one of his habits or comments. She seems more of an equal to Harm,
both in rank and in the flamboyant, kick-butt personality.
(from-email) cql@hopper.unh.edu
(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?) She was such a great balance to Harm's strong character. As an actress,
her facial expressions could deliver a line like no one else. One lift of
the eyebrow and we felt we knew just what she was thinking or feeling. It
was easy to relate to her.
(from-email) rain@azstarnet.com
(Partner) Sarah MacKenzie
(Best?)They have the best chance of actually becoming a couple. In one episode,
Mac almost kisses Harm when he agrees to let a questionable Marine come on
a secret mission. I would love to see Harm and one of his beautiful partners
fall in love. (from-email) stu961679@boaz.gcc.edu
(Partner) Sarah MacKenzie
(Best?) I love the character "Mac" and i think she is the best because she
actually talks and she's a Marine darn it! I think they should get something
going on because they are opposites and opposites do attract!
(from-email) WLuk82@AOL.com
(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?)Definately the chemistry! Mac is cool, but Meg will forever be number
one in my heart.
(from-email) mbielanski@hotmail.com
(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?) I believe that Meg Austin is the best partner for Harm because apart
from being the best looking of the three, I believe that here relationship
with Harm has the strongest ties of the three. A moment that portrays this
is when Meg gets shot in the head in "Hemlock." In this episode, Harm is
obsessed into finding Hemlock, while in the mean time, obsessed into comforting
Meg in the hospital as well.
(from-email) chye@cafe.smileys.net
(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?)The two characters seem to work well together. They seems to make
a good team The scene where Harm helps Meg conquer her clasterfobia is one
ep. that I thought was good. Another was when Meg went undercover and Harm
introduced her to the staff sargent. The look on the staff sargents face
was priceless. They both have similar temperments and I think that makes
them blend in well together. (from-email) tdalton@highlander.cbnet.ns.ca
(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?)I guess I am partial to her. She was the first. I think she did very
well. (from-email) spockroc@Iserv.net
(Partner) Sarah MacKenzie
(Best?)She seems to be more willing to "get into the action." (from-email)
AliCat418@aol.com
(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?) I think she had the best interaction with Harm. Liked the way she
teased him when they argued.
(from-email) jgoehl@cy-net.net
(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?) she's cute (from-email) hlopr@pitt.edu
(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?)Her looks (from-email) sdoktor@usa.net
(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?)They seem to be a pretty efficient team. (from-email)
wingsofwar@hotmail.com
(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?) The chemistry between her and Harm. And her computer skills!
(from-email) tswain@minet.gov.mb.ca
(Partner) Sarah MacKenzie
(Best?) she seems to be a strong character, and she is a marine, and of course
gorgeous.
(from-email) decompose312rot@hotmail
(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?)They interact beautifily and Meg is somewhat vulnerable and Harm comes
to her rescue in natural brotherly way, however there is always the possibility
that their relationship could become closer.....
(from-email) Ron Snell@cconnect.net
(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?)She's easy-going and a good match for the more hyper Harm. They had
a solid frienship with no trite filirting.
(from-email) kardaway@aol.com
(Partner) Sarah MacKenzie
(Best?) Mac is independent (as the others were), but she is different enough
from Harm to make a contrast and they work very well together. She is vocal
in her opinions and respects Harm while still being friends.
(from-email) blane@mail.transy.edu
(Partner) Sarah MacKenzie
(Best?) I think she interacts better with Elliot that Austin did. Plus I
first saw the episodes when it came to CBS before I saw the reruns with Austin
in it, so I was used to Bell.
(from-email) amt@ecst.csuchico.edu
(Partner) Sarah MacKenzie
(Best?)Bacause she was there from the start, in january, and she is better
at the hard to get but come get me act
(Partner) Sarah MacKenzie
(Best?) Mac is a stronger character, probably due to her marine leadership
training(she's a major) and because of her past personal traumas. She's good
with Harm because it's fun watching him try to unravel her. There's an air
of mystery about her, which she perpetuates with less openness about herself
(from-email) anne taul@gowebway.com
(Partner) Sarah MacKenzie
(Best?)She's hot, fine a good actress, need I say more?? (from-email)
Mulder15b@aol.com
(Partner) Meg Austin
(Best?) better on scrren repore (from-email) krazykrazy@hotmail.com
(Partner) Sarah MacKenzie
(Best?) she always has a good comback. She just has david type of face. It
just looks good.
(from-email) walz@r133.aone.net.au
(Partner) Sarah MacKenzie
(Best?) I like she is Harm's equal, I like her style. Mostly I like that
she is everything I love in a woman, she is smart, she is tough and she has
dark hair. In the show with the poachers instead of doing the usual Hollywood
female thing and cowering while Harm saved them she fought back as best she
could and took a bullet for them. Gotta love Mac!
(from-email) dgibson@total.net
(Partner) Sarah MacKenzie
(Best?)She's fresh, she's new, she's tough, like Harm. I don't think there'd
be a shot in hell Mac do Harm's paperwork for him. Or cover for him so many
times. But, if Meg had stayed around for a seson more, I think she would
develop a backbone...I think they're both good, but I had to choose, it would
be Mac.
(from-email) vikki.wiercinski@mailexcite.com
(Partner) Sarah MacKenzie
(Best?) She's the coolest one of them all in my opinion! Meg was to girly
and Kate was kinda bitchy in my opinion*excuse my language*. Sarah is really
independant and kicks but in court. She also likes to prove herself. That
to me is cool! (from-email) lovasic-z@myna.com
(Partner) Sarah MacKenzie
(Best?)She is a Marine, and that offers a tedious relationship. (I know I'm
in the Navy) They are the same rank and many other things that make her more
fun to watch. (from-email) zconleyc@mail.orion.org
(Partner) Sarah MacKenzie
(Best?)What I like about Sarah is that she's an equal. There is no "yes sir"
and limits to what they could talk about like there was with Meg. Between
"Full Engagement" and "Rendezvous," we see that there is indeed a friendship
and respect between the two of them. In F.E. Harm takes care of her after
she's injured and makes sure she remembers she's a Marine so she can get
out of the woods. At the same time, they can joke about sleeping together
in the wilderness. And in Rendezvous, he helps her get rid of the demons,
the memories of her father's abuse. He tells her he cares about her and we
believe she feels the same way. And now that they are exploring his weaknesses,
we see Mac helping him as he continues to grieve over his father, not knowing
if he's dead or alive. I don't think he and Meg could have had this much
depth to their relationship, he being her superior. And that's MHO. :o)
(from-email) Princsstmp@aol.com

(Best?) cause she is the prettiest and the smartest and she has the look..

better than Meg did.
