Chet Kelly, played by Tim Donnelly, was in the military before joining the Fire Service. Chet is a practical joker and all around butt kisser. He seems to have and endless supply of old, bad jokes. Chet holds two unofficial department records. One for losing his badge and the other for slowest drill time. He has been responsable for starting two fires at the station, once while refinishing his skis, the other after "fixing" the TV with Johnny. Chet is not married and is studing to become an engineer. He is also know for making great chili.
