Beauty School's
Picks for
Miss USA 1998

MARCH 11, 1998 - OUR BEST GUESSER AWARDS

Is Beauty School failing its mission? We ask the question because our student body picked only 3 of the women who made top ten at Miss USA 1998! Of the 12 women on our pick list for the semifinals, only California, Texas, and Utah made the semifinals.

However, Beauty School is somewhat consoled by the fact that 17 of the 60 students who voted in our poll did in fact pick the winner, Shawnae Jebbia, Miss Massachusetts. We also note with a modium of pride that she was our 14th highest vote-getter over all.

Beauty School is particularly proud of 3 students. These students picked 6 of the 10 who made the semifinals. Two of these three also included Miss Massachusetts and Miss California in their picks. Because they picked 6 out of 10 and also included the ultimate winner among their picks, they tie for our Best Guesser Award.

Congratulations...Penny Geiszler and John Blatt! You are the new Miss USA Best Guessers!

Our runner-up for Best Guesser is...Norman Tinio! Like Penny and John, he picked 6 of the 10 who made the semifinals, plus his picks included Miss California and Miss Missouri. Congratulations to you, too!

Finally, seven students deserve honorable mention. These students picked 5 of the 10 women who made the seminfinals. These students are: Arjay, Robert April, Marc Paquet, Matthew Fischer, JD, Papiro, and Daryl Enabore,

Beauty School thanks all students who voted and kindly requests that you please study harder next time. You can study in tranquility and peace, too, because Beauty School will never throw out its Isolation/Sound-Proof Booth!
