Club Hopping

Though tempted, you decide not to take the book. You wait there and patiently sip your coffee as you wait for Tracy to come back.

"There must be a line," You mumble. Suddenly there's a tinkling of bells as a new customer enters the coffee shop. Due to your most recent experiences, you glance up with some fear, hopping it won't be the guy who followed you from the Raven.

It's someone you've never seen before, long dark hair, leather jacket. Leather jacket? In this heat?! You hunch down into the sofa, hopping the new comer won't notice you.

He seems to be looking for someone, his deep brown eyes pause momentarily on you, but then move on. You sigh in relief, but then Tracy comes back from the phones.

The stranger's eyes seem to light up as he takes in your new friend, you fight the impulse to cry out a warning. What are you going to say anyway?

But then, Tracy smiles back and saunters back over to your side, the guy in leather follows.

"This is Vachon," Tracy introduces you.

You smile a greeting, thinking what an odd couple these two make, but they seem happy. You're beginning to calm slightly, coming to the conclusion that this Vachon guy isn't a threat, when you hear Tracy say something else.

"I was thinking maybe we could all go to the club together." She says.

"Club?" You repeat, panic edging into your voice, Vachon eyes you with what you're paranoid brain sees as suspicion.

"Not the Raven," Tracy assures you, "The D.L. Lounge."

"D.L?" You echo.

"Dimly Lit," She grins almost wickedly at Vachon who seems taken aback by her leer, but then he too grins and pulls her to his side.

"Sounds good to me," Vachon agrees, not even looking at you, "Wanna come?"

"Um," You pause to think about that for a moment, but your mind is a complete blank. Finally, with the help of another sip of caffeine goodness, you decide to:

Join them, it could be fun.

Call a cab and go home, you've already had enough "fun."
