*****The Blessing Way- With the Cigarette-Smoking Man pursuing the secret files that prove the eXistance of alien visitation and eXperimentation, and Mulder still missing, Scully finds her own life and career in jeopardy.
Ah! Another one of my firsts, so very special to me. But my favorite out of this trilogy is...
*****Paper Clip- Mulder and Scully seek evidence of alien eXperimentationby Nazi war criminals while Skinner tries to bargain with the Cigarette-Smoking Man for their lives.
This ep contains Skinner's best line, and proof that he's a real man and a friend to our dynamic duo. Both mythological.
****D.P.O.- Mulder and Scully invesigate a series of deaths related to a teenage boy who can control lightning.
Very nice storyline! Kudos!
*****Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose- Mulder and Scully enlist the help of a man who can see when people will die while searching for a serial killer who prays upon fortunetellers.
Oh, what an ep and a fantastic script by my favorite writer (besides CC, himself), Darin Morgan.
**The List- A death row inmate makes good on his promise to return from the dead and kill five people who wronged him.
K--I don't quite remember all of this one...but I do remember a fly...
***2Shy- Mulder and Scully track a serial killer who preys on lonely overweight women via the internet.
Yet another attempt on our dear heroine's life. But I LOVE the fact that it's not Mulder who saves her!
**The Walk- A suicide attempt and subsequent murders at a military hospital bring Mulder and Scully into contact with a quadruple amputee veteran who may have the power of astral projection.
You're gonna have to look up that last phrase to find out what it means, 'cause I'm at a loss!
****Oubliette- The abduction of a young girl prompts Mulder to seek the help of a woman who was kidnapped by the same man years earlier and who has the ability to feel what the victim feels.
I really love this ep! I especially like the ones that show our agents' vunerability and let the actors eXplore their characters insides. Tear-jerker!
****Nisei- Video of an alien autopsy puts Mulder and Scully on the trail of a conspiracy involving Japanese scientists that may shed light on Scully's abduction.
First read about the second part...
****731- Mulder is caught on board a speeding train with what might be alien cargo and a government killer while Scully seeks her own solutions to the conspiracy.
Good mythology, more questions than answers. The mysterious X makes me love him in 731!
***Revelations- Mulder and Scully seek to protect a young boy who displays wound of religious signifigance from a killer, causing Scully to question her own faith while being cast in the role of the boy's protector.
The deeper side of Scully! Cream of the crop GA!!!
*****War Of The Coprophages- A number of deaths seemingly linked to cockroaches cause widespread panic in a small town.
Gotta love the funny eps, especially when they're written by the infamous Morgan. Love the Praying Mantis epiphany.
***Syzygy- Two high school girls born on the same day are involved in a series of deaths thanks to an odd alignment of plantes that causes stange behavior in all the townspeople, as well as Mulder and Scully.
My sister and I had a wonderful time watching this one! Now she finds delight in pointing out all the stop signs. Sure. Fine. Whatever.
**Grotesque- A serial killer maintains that an evil spirit was responsible for his actions, as Mulder's own sanity comes into question when the murders persist.
I love that Mulder does profiling here, but the story could have been better, and perhaps not so...grotesque!
****Piper Maru- A French salvage ship fins mysterious wreckage from World War II that unleashes a strange force causing radiation sickness and leading Mulder into a web of intrigue.
The ep named after GA's daughter is good, but surpassed by its conclusion...
*****Apocrypha- Mulder pursues Krycek and the mystery of the sunken World War II wreckage, while the shooting of Skinner brings Scully new clues to her sister's murder.
Poor Skinner! Oh, my poor baby! Oh, forgive me! Mythological, the both of 'em.
*****Pusher- Mulder and Scully investigate a man possessing the power to bend people to his will who engages Mulder in a scary battle of wits.
'Shippers will get a kick out of a certain scene here! All I can say about that is...Cerulean Blue is like a gentle breeze...
*Teso Dos Bichos- The unearthing of an ancient Ecuadorian artifact results in a series of deaths potentially linked to a shaman spirit.
Wish I could add some insight.
**Hell Money- The deaths of several Chinese immigrants missing internal organs leads Mulder and Scully to a mysterious game with potentially fatal consequences.
Don't remember much, so I really couldn't say.
*****Jose Chung's From Outer Space- A novelist interviews Scully about a rumored UFO abduction of two teenagers that seems open to a number of different interpretations.
Hurray for Morgan! You may have to watch this one a few times to be sure of everything. Mythological, in that it reveals (if you're deep) how the government conspirators work their...conspiracies.
***Avatar- In the midst of a marital breakup Skinner becomes a murder suspect, while a clue to the case may lie in the form of a strange woman who appears to him in dreams.
I saw it and now truly am a full-fledged member of WOW! Oh, this ep is good! I love it when we learn more about people, and we definately learn more about Skinner here. I also love Mulder and Scully's loyalty.
*Quagmire- Mulder and Scully investigate a series of deaths that may be linked to a lake monster known by the locals as Big Blue.
You know, the very odd thing is that my mother has seen this one and I haven't!
****Wetwired- Mulder and Scully discover a conspiracy involving mind control through television signals that's responsible for a series of murders in a small town and begins causing Scully herself to behave strangely.
Sounds a little like what The Riddler did in Batman Forever, huh? No, it's really good. I remember the LG, but I can't seem to remember if it's a mythological ep...
*****Talitha Cumi- Mulder and Scully search for a mysterious man with the power to heal, whose eXistance risks eXposing a conspiracy involving the presence of aliens on Earth, while various forces seek a strange weapon that comes into Mulder's posession.
Mythological, of course, and still poses more questions than answers. But I, personally, like it that way. Everything dies!
