3 nights later. Lucky was still trapped in the room. As much as he tried, their was no way of getting out of here. He had to though, somehow, for Liz's sake. He knew she was alive. Alive in that same building. He could feel her presence. The door opened, and Faison walked in.
"Guess what today is,"Faison said, seeming happy.
"What's that?"Lucky asked. He always kept him in track of when the hollidays and birthdays of his loved ones were. It was his only way of ever knowing what month it was.
"The fourth of july,"Faison said.
"Oh,"Lucky was all lucky said.
"What? Your not excited or anything,"Faison said.
"Why? Not like i can go see the fire works or anything,"Lucky said. Shrugging.
"True... being trapped in this room must take all the fun out of hollidays,"Faison said, grinning.
Lucky said nothing.
"Don't ya think so?"Faison said.
"What have you done with Liz?"He asked for the millionth time.
"I told you... nothing,"Faison said. He loved to see Lucky squirm.
Lucky stared at him. Faison suddenly became alert.
"What?"he asked.
"Do you smell that?"Faison asked,"It's like heat."
Lucky suddenly realized that. That smell brought back horrible memories. Horrible memories of the first night he was brought here. The smell of fire.
"Holy,"Faison muttered. He walked over to the door, and opened it.
"What?"Lucky asked. standing next to him. He saw it with his own eyes. The place was on fire! Elizabeth, he thought panicking. Lucky jumped on Faison, and grabbed the remote he was holding in his hand. He then, threw Faison back in the room.
"Hey!"Faison shouted. Faison leaned toward him, but before he could, Lucky shut the door on him. He couldn't believe how easy that was. He stared at the fire before him, it was getting closer by the second. He had to get to Liz... and fast.
"LLIIIIIZZZZZZZZZ!"He screamed. He started down the hall that wasn't where the fire was.
Liz was in her room, feeling miserable. She had no way of escaping. She had tried, but it felt impossible. She wondered if anyone knew she was missing. She was sure of it. Gram, Laura, Luke and everyone must of been going crazy.
"LLLLLIIIIIIIIIZZZZZZZZZ!"she heard the voice again. Although she was afraid to believe it. She had to be hallucinating again.
"LLLLLIIIIIIZZZZZZ! Are you in their?"Lucky's voice shouted. His voice was even closer now. She could here him pound on the door. She felt as if she were going to faint.
"Lucky?"She shrieked.
"It's me Liz, listen, I can't explain it... I have the remote here, but I don't knw if it will work, we have to get out of here though, Liz... the place is on fire..."Lucky said.
"On fire!"She cried. Just then, the door opened, and Liz gasped. Their he was. Standing their by the doorway. He to seemed speechless. It was hard to believe that a whole year had gone by. He looked the same.
"Liz,"He whispered. She looked like an angel. His angel.
"Lucky!"She cried. She ran to him. To her relieve, she was able to hold him. She was afraid it was just a vision. Now though, she knew he wasn't. He was their. With her.
The hugged for a few seconds, but Lucky pulled away,"Come on... I can't explain what's going on... we have to get out of here..."he said. Liz looked behind him. Fire was heading toward them. He looked at Liz. "How are we getting out of here?"She cried. Funny, she wasn't the least bit scared. With Lucky their, finnaly, she could handle anything. "This way,"He said. He held her hand and they ran the direction the fire wasn't heading.
