Sooner Than Heaven - Chapter 4

Lucky couldn't take it any longer. Living in the same room for one whole year was a nightmare. It was complete isolation. He had to escape somehow. Their had to be away so he could get to Liz... Their had to. He just had to think. Lucky jumped as he saw the door open, no suprise though, it was Faison. The last person he wanted to see at the moment.

"Top to the world to you, Mr. Spencer,"Faison said.

"Same to you,"Lucky said, darkly.

"What's that tone of voice for?"Faison asked,"Cranky this morning I might ask?"

"If you were held prisoner for a WHOLE year, you would be to,"Lucky snapped.

"Well my my aren't we touchy this morning... it's not as if your in complete isolation... you have me you know,"Faison said, smiling broadly.

Lucky refused to give a comment about that.

"Well then,"Faison said. He looked at Liz's picture still lying on the desk. He touched it,"Wonder what the lovely lady is doing at this moment."

Lucky still said nothing.

"Probaly getting romantically involved with dear Nicholas,"Faison said, watching Lucky's reaction.

"She is not in love with Nicholas,"Lucky said.

"Lucky... lucky... lucky.... haven't you been watching those videos all year? Nearly every one of them have Nicholas in it... it's obvious..."Faison said.

Lucky tried his hardest not to let Faison get to him. Sure, he had his doubts on Nicholas and Liz but deep down he knew that wasn't possible. Liz wouldn't give up on him that quickly.

"I'm quite sure the lovely lady has gotten over you by now,"Faison said.

"I don't believe you,"Lucky muttered. Lucky eyed a cane that was laying against the wall. A small smile spread across his face. Without making it to obvious, Lucky tried to reach toward that cane. Suddenly he grabbed it, picked it up and wacked Faison in the head. Faison fell to the ground, which gave Lucky a chance to run out the door. Now was his chance.
