Some Things Never Change - Chapter 21

by: Jess

Elizabeth couldn't wait for him to get home. He'd been on tour with Sly for the last month. They had it in their contracts to never go on tour for more than a month. Lucky hated to leave Liz and the kids longer than that and Sly didn't like leaving his wife and son Bill. Her and Lucky had been married for ten years now and were both happy as the day they'd gotten married just as Sly said. They had three kids now. Lorenzo who was now twelve and exactly like Lucky was at that age, Lacey Leigh who was six, and Lance Lucas who was three.

"Mom, Lacey was in my room again and I wouldn't care but she keeps messing with the guitar dad got me."

"Renzo honey daddy told you to keep it in the closet. I'll talk to Lacey though."

As she said that Lacey and Lance ran into the room. Lance, who was shy and withdrawn from most people put his arms up for Liz to hold him. She picked him up as the door opened and Lucky came in. "Lucky!"

"Dad! Yeah dad's home." Lorenzo ran to his dad and grabbed one of his bags.

"Daddy daddy! You gonna stay?"

"Yes I am princess. For a whole year me and your Uncle Sly don't have to go on tour."

"What? Lucky are you serious?" asked Liz giving her husband a kiss and handing Lance to him.

"Hey bud." He said to Lance and then leaned over to kiss his daughter. "Yup serious as a heart attack baby. Sly and me want to spend more times with our family. Juan said we do another album and we have a year off. We'll do local concerts only." Juan had taken over L&B for Ned when he and his wife Alexis moved to California. Juan was great at it and they were glad to have their best friend as a manager.

"Baby this is great. I miss you so much when you go."

"I always miss you Elizabeth. You guys too, all that piece and quiet I get on the tours can sure give a dad a headache. So I saw Uncle Nik and he plans on coming to dinner with Aunt Gina and Robin." Gina and Nikolas were now married and they named their only child after Robin. Nikolas missed her so much since she died a few years ago.

"That's great so are Emily and Juan. So are Jason, Carly, and Michael, and Sonny, Carla, and Lilly. She is so adorable Lucky. She's so small." Sonny and Carla had been married for three years and Carla had given birth to there first child three weeks ago.

"Sonny sent me a picture. I can't believe him and Carla fell in love."

"It's amazing how that happens." Said Liz.

Lucky put Lance down and took his wife in his arms. He kissed her and said, "I am so glad I was smart enough to snatch you up. Dance with me."

"Honey theirs no music."

"And when has that ever stopped us before Elizabeth." They start dancing. And then Lucky started to sing, "I've got sunshine, on a cloudy day. When it's cold outside I've got the month of May. And I guess you say what can make me feel that way. MY girl."

"Do you guys always got to be so gross." Asked Lorenzo with a smirk. He lifted up Lance and held on to him. Lacey took his hand and pretended to be dancing with him. He loved when his parents were like this but he never let them know it. The funny thing was his grampa Luke and gramma Laura was the same way. He sure had a weird family. But they were all happy, and for Spencer's to be happy as long as they had been that was a good thing. "You guys wanna dance to?" Renzo put Lance down and took one of his hands, Lacey took the other and then took Lorenzo's free hand and they danced.

Lucky and Liz watched their children, "I am the luckiest man on earth you know that?"

"I know." was all she said.

"Keep singing daddy!" shouted Lacey. Liz and Lucky laughed and he continued to sing.
