Elizabeth was a beautiful bride and Lucky looked gorgeous in his suit. His best men were Nikolas, Sly, and Juan. The flower girl was Lulu of course. They had two ring bearers, Michael, and Lorenzo. Liz's bride's maids were Carly, Gina, and Carla, and her maid of honor was Emily. She had asked Jason to give her away. The priest had said everything he had to and it was time for them to say their vows. Elizabeth went first.
"Lucky for me it was love at first sight, you saw differently but I knew the first time I saw you that you were the one. Then we became friends and you helped me through one of the roughest times in my life. I fell more in love with you then than I ever thought I could. I have never and will never fall out of love with you. You are my life, and I promise to always be here. I Elizabeth Imogene Webber take you Lucas Lorenzo Spencer Jr. to be my husband, through sickness and health, for richer or poorer, until death do us part." She slipped the ring on his finger.
The priest looked at Lucky. He grinned at Liz and, "You were right when you said I didn't fall in love with you when we met, but then I didn't really know you. It was a moment in life when I didn't even know myself. But we helped each other, and we found each other. Elizabeth, you've got my heart, on a permanent lock." When Lucky said those words tears started to fall from Liz's eyes. "Everything I am is in love with you, my soul, my mind, my body, my spirit. That will never change." Lucky felt a tear fall from his eyes. "I pledge myself to you Elizabeth…today…forever. I Lucas Lorenzo Spencer Jr. take you Elizabeth Imogene Webber to be my wife, through sickness and health, for richer or poorer, until death do us part." He slipped the ring on her finger. They were both unaware of anyone but themselves. They were at their church.
The priest said, "I know pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."
Lucky smiled down at her and kissed her gently. When they stopped they faced their family and friends and the priest said, "Ladies and gentleman Mr. and Mrs. Lucas Lorenzo Spencer Jr."
They walked out of the church hand in hand, with the rest of the wedding party following them. They were going to the Port Charles Hotel for the reception.
The bride and groom had their first dance as a married couple to the song he'd sang to her at Luke's. I do by Ninety-Eight Degrees. When the song ended Luke cut in on them and danced with Liz. "You know Mrs. Cowboy, I am proud, so proud to finally be able to call you my daughter. I've felt like you were one for so many years now."
"Thanks Luke. I feel the same way about you."
"Well I've been called a lot of things but not a daughter." He said with the usual smirk on his face. "In all seriousness though, I'm glad this mess is finally over. I'm glad that we can all be happy."
"So am I Luke."
"Hey dad can I have my lady back?"
"Sure Cowboy. Hey I say it's time for the toast. Which one of your best men are going to give it?"
"Juan said he didn't care to say it, he don't like talking in front of all these people. Sly and Nikolas are going to say something."
Everyone was gathered for the toast. Nikolas stood up first. "I just wanted to say that it's about time. I knew Liz was perfect for Lucky the first time I saw them together. It just took him a little longer to see that. Liz you are a great friend, if not for you and Emily, Lucky and I wouldn't be brothers today, and Lucky you're a great brother. The two of you are lucky to have each other and may you stay together for ever."
"Okay that was lame." Said Sly laughing to show he was kidding. "I never thought I'd be standing at my cousins wedding. When Lucky and I first met he was wild and crazy. He had to be though we're cousins so he had to be like me in some way right?" Everyone laughed. Leave it to Sly to make a funny speech. "We had a lot of great times and got into a lot of trouble on the way. When I left town we got separated and kind of lost touch, then one day he shows up to ask me to use my stuff cause he had to record a song. I knew then that he was in love even though he didn't. But I am glad that he fell in love with Liz, though I don't know her well I know they are perfect for each other. Lucky you're a lucky man, and Liz you have married the most honorable man I have ever met in my life. May you always be as happy as you are right now."
Liz kissed each of the best men and said, "Okay know its bouquet time." All the unmarried girls gathered around and Liz tossed it behind her. She turned around and Emily squealed.
Some yelled, "watch out Juan!" everyone laughed. They had a great time. They stayed for hours and the said goodbye to everyone and kissed Lorenzo goodbye. They were off on their honeymoon.
That night in Hawaii, they lay in each other's arms. "Lucky?"
"Hmm?"
"Thank you for rescuing me in the park."
"Thank you for trusting me to help you."
"I love you Mr. Spencer."
"I love you too Mrs. Spencer."
