A Second Once In A Lifetime - Chapter 9

Liz and Ryan sat outside kellys

Liz: what did you want to talk about

Ryan: Lucky

Liz: what?

Ryan: ever since we got here and even before in Boulder you were always so distant. I never felt like i had you attention or your love. Lucky is just not some guy you knew in High School is he?

Liz: No he's not

Ryan: Liz please be honest wth me

Liz: Ryan....this is so hard

Ryan: well why dont you start at the begining

Liz: Lucky...and I were in love. When we were 16 we helped aeach other through some very hard times. We became best friends, but oever time out feelings for each other grew. We feel in love. I love him with all mt heart. We were supposed to be together forever. Forever that was us. But my parents came back from Bosnia and they made me move back to Boulder with them. I told them that i did not want to leave Lucky but they made me. They told me i would fins someone knew and for get about him.

Ryan: But you never did

Liz: No.....our last night together we.....made love. We knew it was going to be our only chance and our last chance. I never wanted to leave, but the next morning came and I left him while he was still sleeping. I never said good bye. I know I hurt him but i couldn't bare to see his heart break.

Ryan: Do you still love him Liz?

Liz: yes i do.....Ryan i am so sorry. I just could never tell you

Ryan: well that explains why you coud never make love with me....becaise you were still in love with him.

Liz: ( crying) I am so sorry i never ment to hurt you.

Ryan: It's okay. For some reason i knew you could never love me and now i know why. I dont think it is over between you and lucky...... Well I am going to back to the house and pack, we are supposed to leave tomoorw. I'll tell your parents you will be home late. see ya

Liz: thanks and Ryan.....I am sorry

Ryan left and Liz felt bad for huting him but she thought about what he just said and he was right. Things between her and Lucky were far from over.
