BY SOLO

EPISODE 30

{Does anyone even care anymore what is happening to our intrepid travelers?}

[By the way…. one of the two 'episode twenty-nine's was a fake (that was posted on the MOSH board)…. can you tell which one??? Mind you Lisa(H) – GERFA, would have you all believe that the eppy with her fatalistic involvement is the real one!!…. But in case you haven't worked out the scribblings at the top of the last eppy, the author time looped reality back to the moments before the GERFA stopped time and rewrote history a little…that's not to say that with their advanced technology, she won't be back!!]

That's right…. Richard had run off in search of a screwdriver – Question is…can he find it? (Remember this is Richard we are talking about!)
"I'm going to go look for Richard!" Tim announced suddenly.
Solo looked up from the computer…it was almost repaired. Solo had discovered she didn't need the screwdriver after all.
"Tim, I don't need the screwdriver after all!"
"So what! I said I was going to look for Richard not the screwdriver…"
Tim turned towards the door and then he stopped. Slowly he turned back, lowered his voice and said… "I'll be back." He then turned and skipped from the room.
His departure – left Solo and Paul alone.

"Hold it still!"
"I am!"
"Be gentle with it!"
"I am!"
"No you're not, it's moving…see?"
"It's not!"
"Hold still!"
"I'm not moving!"
"Look, I can't do this if it keeps shaking like that!"
"Then you hold it!"
"I can't you fool, can't you see I'm doing something!"
"So what! I'm holding it still. You're the one that's moving around.
Stop shaking!"
"Me?" Solo pushed Paul to the side with her shoulder. Paul shot her a dirty look. Solo took the fragile filament out of his fingers. "Fine
then, I'll do it. Here…hold this then!" She thrust a miniature soldering iron into Paul's hands.

{Well what did you think they were doing??? Smutty, smutty readers that's what you are!!}

"Now, point that…there!" Solo pointed with her little finger as she held the soldering iron where Solo pointed.
"Now be careful! If you hold it too long it will…That's it…Paul….Paul….damn it….stop!! Stop you'll….Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Bloody hell!" Solo yanked her fingers back. "You clumsy Nerf-herder!" She cried. Her thumb and forefinger of her left hand were bright red. She
gripped her wrist tightly. Solo could feel the bloody pounding through
her
veins causing her fingers to throb painfully.
Paul grinned sheepishly. "Whoops!"
"Damn it Paul!" Solo leaned back over the computer. It looks as
though
the filament had survived Paul's meatball surgery intact…just.
"Hey, look. You asked me to help remember brainiac! So I did…back
off
girly!!"
"I didn't ask you to bloody well grill my fingers though did I?"
Solo
snapped back. Damn – her hand was killing her.
"Look, we've got some cream around here that you can put on
it….Richard
is always getting hurt somehow…I'll go get it and…"
Solo, cut him off. "Just bugger off Paul! I'll get it myself."
"Hey! I was only trying to help!" Paul snapped.
"I may not survive your help Paul!" Solo snapped back
"Fine then, just don't expect me to offer it again!"
"I won't. I may just get off this stupid ship with all my limbs
intact
then!"
"Yeah well, I wish you'd hurry up and leave!"
"Well if you'd quit bothering me, I'd be able to get this stupid
system
fixed quicker!"
"I thought I was helping!"
"Yeah right! I'd work faster alone!"
"Then why'd you ask me to help?"
"So you'd stop carrying on like a spoiled brat…"you hate me you hate
me!!" for Christ sakes Paul, grow up!"
"Get stuffed then and fix the damn thing yourself!"
"I will!"
"Fine then!"
"Fine!"
"Fine!"
"Fine!"
Paul stomped off to his bedroom. He slammed the door shut behind
him.
A few seconds later the door slammed open again and Paul stomped back
out.
He slammed a tube of cream and a couple of Band-Aids down on the desk
next
to Solo and then stomped angrily towards the main door. He disappeared
out
into the corridor and slammed the door shut.
All was done without a word passing between them.
Solo stared at the closed door. Wow, what a fight! The she looked
at
the tube of cream. "THANKYOU!" she yelled.
From somewhere behind the door Paul yelled back, "YOUR WELCOME!"
Solo picked up the tube of cream and gingerly squirted some onto her
fingers. "Ow, ow, Ouch!!!" She gasped as the cold cream touched her
burned fingers. "Stupid, immature little brat!" She muttered quietly
to
herself.
Quickly Solo unwrapped the Band-Aids and stuck them over her sore
fingers. Then she went back to work on the computer.

A few minutes later, she finally reconnected the last wire.
Beep, beep! The computer screen came to life beside her. Solo sat
down
and flicked the cursor over to the flashing Time Machine 'Initiation'
button. She clicked "Yes'
"Are you sure you want to initiate the Time/Space sequence?"
"Yes" Solo clicked.
"Are you really sure?"
Solo groaned…she didn't want to go through this again.
"Yes"
"Are you really, absolutely, positively sure?"
"Yes damnit!" Solo clicked.
"Please select a date, place and time you wish to return to." the
computer
asked.
Um… Solo hurriedly searched for the piece of paper Richard had
scrawled
the details she'd need, on earlier.
Nothing!
Then she spied it on the floor beneath the chair. Scooping it up,
she
quickly typed in the following details. DATE: 10 – 11 – 2006, PLACE:
earth, south china sea, twenty kilometers from the shitsu tonka capital
of
tranquilty, TIME: 3 – 31 – 51pm
Solo hit enter.
Bill gates suddenly appeared on the screen. From his position on the
flying window, he looked up at Solo and said, "All those wishing to
leave
the Titanic II have three minutes before the time sequence is initiated
to
get the hell off this ship…have a nice day!"

The timer on the desk began to count down from 3:00, 2:59, 2:58, 2:57
etc…

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Solo jumped up from her seat. She looked
hurriedly around the empty room.
Damn, she wouldn't even get a chance to say goodbye…she wouldn't even
get the chance to grab her own clothes…she wouldn't even get the chance
to
stand here pondering all the things she wouldn't have the chance to do.

Solo ran to the door, pulled it open and ran out into the corridor.

Is this it?
Is this the end?
The final curtain?
The last farewell?
Where the hell did the three lads all disappear to?
Will Richard find the screwdriver?
Will Tim find Richard?
Where did Paul stomp off to?
Will Solo see the three lads one last time before she returns home
forever?
Will Solo regret leaving?

STAY TUNED…
