Who is Ali McIntyre?
A nurse at Salem University Hospital who has her eye on the Head Nurse's position and plans on using any means available in order to get it, including Mike Horton and his influence, to help her in her quest.
Ali is bright, bubbly, perky and bouncy as all get out, just like her alter-ego, Tigger. She's constantly complimenting Mike and hanging all over him, doing her best to glue herself to his side. Hey, he's a great catch, a fabulous dancer and an amazing kisser, what more could a girl want, right? Unfortunately for her, Mike is in love with Carrie Brady, who is married. Even though Ali thinks Mike is free to be with her, she doesn't realize what kind of a situation she's gotten herself into.
Craig Wesley is interested in Ali and keeps on making passes at her, even though she rejects them out of hand because he is married. But if Craig were a free man, would Ali change her tune?

What is her main conflict?
Ali wants power. She wants to be in charge and she wants recognition. She'd like nothing more than to become Mrs. Michael William Horton, and run the nurses' side of Salem UH. But she hasn't counted on having the hospital's publicist as her chief rival.
Carrie has actively expressed her dislike for Ali, and no matter what she may try telling herself about her commitment to Austin and the platonic-only status of her relationship with Mike, Carrie would dearly love to throw Tigger, er, Ali out of the nearest window and tackle Mike herself.

What would I do with Ali if I were a DOOL writer?

Beef up the sexual tension between Ali and Craig. They have some great chemistry together, and the writers could put it to good use.
I hate to say this, being a staunch supporter of Mike and Carrie, but get Mike to show more of an interest in Ali, even if it's only half-hearted. This will drive Denial's Daughter (Carrie) to finally say what Mike needs to hear: that she gives a damn about who he's dating because she herself loves him!
Get Ali interested in someone like Austin or Lucas. she's young enough, I think to be with either one of them, and it would make me giggle to see how she handles those brothers! Tigger, lower-class wench, pouncing on Kate Robert's darling boys! I like it, I like it!

What impact could Ali have on B & H Inc.?

Ali's status as Mike's love interest instantly relegates her to catalyst status. This, more than anything that Mike could be doing on his own behalf, will make Carrie wake up and smell the starlilies. Carrie's already proven that she can't stand to see the two of them together, so it's just a matter of time and patience until Ali's unstoppable force (her obvious interest in Mike) comes up against Carrie and Mike's unmovable object (their depe and abiding affection for each other).

My opinion of the character of Ali:
Whoa! Can we say too much caffeine?
Honestly, where does Lisa Linde get all this energy from? I think she's doing wonderfully as Ali, and I hope that her schemes will come to rival that of Sami's in the near future. Salem doens't have near enough bitches. Vivian's become tri-polar and Kate hasn't come back into her full glory yet.
Go, Lisa, you earn those stripes!
